Be sure you are getting excited enough protein. If you are on BP meds - you may need them adjusted.

I'm highly allergic to horses!!! It sucks! ????????

Is this actually possible? (muscle gain vs. stall?)

@@silverthreads I was going to say the same - if you're working out - you may want to increase your calories a little (protein) and definitely increase water. Congrats on your loss!
  5. Did your Dr suggest anti-depressants for the time being? It might not be a bad idea to get yourself through this hormone dump!
  6. From a newbie - I think that's great! My NUT said not to worry about calories at that stage and to get protein and fluids. Sounds like you are doing well.

What stage are you on? I was craving watermelon today (pre-surgery) and I think it was dehydration. Sent from my KFFOWI using the BariatricPal App

  9. You're doing better than me...lost about 4 lbs in 3 months on my presurgery diet. The surgery will work as long as you follow the plan! Sent from my KFFOWI using the BariatricPal App
  10. Wear comfy clothes - yoga pants and T-shirt or something similar. You can go home in same clothes. I'll let others comment on what to bring. Sent from my KFFOWI using the BariatricPal App

You are working it!!! I'm proud of you!!! You are an inspiration to those of us just starting our journeys!!!
  12. @@Cocojh You can make it! It's temporary that you can't eat. Just keep thinking of the benefits! Do not stress on drains - they aren't painful.
  13. "@@Cari Dickenson" I have done alot of research and found there's nothing you can do. It'll grow back.

    Anxious! How long?

It will depend alot on your insurance requirements. Some require a 6 month supervised weight loss program.

Why do some folks try to ruin this forum?

Why are you calling out @@BigViffer - he didn't talk down to anyone???!! You are barking up the wrong tree! If you are that insecure that a comment made by some stranger online is going to break your heart and potentially change your mind about surgery - you need to get help. It certainly doesn't seem you have what it takes to go through WLS if you are that sensitive. This is an internet forum - people have different personalities - that's life! It's nonsense posts like this that ends up pissing me off enough to get rude.

    Not losing

Sounds like you've done well!!! Don't compare yourself to others and don't go by a # the NUT gave you! Your body has lost a good amount of weight in a little time - it's adjusting! Just follow your plan and stay strong!
  18. Congrats on your success! You should be very proud! In terms of the difficulty you are experiencing - have you considered therapy for emotional eating? I'm doing it pre-op and find it helpful in alot of areas of my life. Stay strong!!

    Feeling alone[emoji17][emoji17]

Your very emotional right now. Hormones are all wacky. Your loved ones don't need to go through WLS to be supportive. Give them a chance - and remember that you aren't yourself right now. You'll feel better soon.

    A few questions.

It depends on your insurance requirements. I would call BCBS and ask for those in writing. Some have a requirement of 6 months supervised weight loss program. Whatever time you have to wait - use it to your advantage and get your mind and behaviors in a place that will help your success post-op. I took this time to get therapy for emotional eating and mindless eating. Your surgeon may require a weight loss prior to surgery - that's usually for high BMIs. Many programs require additional testing or consults so that will take time. It is certainly possible you can schedule surgery this summer but don't be discouraged if you can't. Good luck!
