  1. @@Womanvsmirror I'm glad you are doing well and thank you for let us all know!!! For your Water intake - you may want to set a timer to remind yourself to drink more frequently. Good luck on your journey!
  2. @@SilentBotts This is my plan requirement as well - I will be getting Protein shakes (Bariatric Fusion) in the hospital and I'm to continue them through week 6 (at least). @@sleeverv I don't know if your plan is different due to the low BMI - but I can't imagine that it would be. I wouldn't go too long without protein. Is it possible there's a communication barrier with the instructions you received?
  3. @@Rosi10 Try doing the 5 day pouch reset - nothing to be scared about there - it's just going back to your eating plan immediately post-op.

    Emotional breakdown

@@brittanylau Maybe you aren't getting enough calories if you're exercising alot??? I know it has to be frustrating but try and stay off the scale. Take your measurements - you're body is changing even though you don't see the scale moving. Your hormones are all out of whack. Mix things up a bit - change your workout, add a protein shake or a snack. Try adding some healthy carbs (veggies or fruits). It's not over!!! Just hang in there and stay strong! 15lbs in a month is not a bad loss!!!

    May 24 Surgery Day

It's very common to feel this way post-op. Your hormones are all out of whack. You may also want to check your Vitamin levels to be sure you aren't deficient as that can affect your mood as well. Hoping you are doing better soon!Oh and make sure your BP is not too low.

    Vacation

@ Just curious...does your surgeon know you are flying in the night before? Are there any meds they need you to take pre-op?
  9. You have lost the equivalent of a 5'2" woman with a high end normal BMI! Hell - you deserve compliments - accept them with Pride!!! You may feel like you have a ways to go but there's no denying what you've done so far is incredible! Congrats!!! You will get to the Finish Line soon!

    Emotional Eating

Here's a good article about Emotional Eating. I've also been going to therapy pre-op to work on emotional eating and mindless eating. It's really helped! Good luck! Congrats on your success so far! http://www.helpguide.org/articles/diet-weight-loss/emotional-eating.htm
  11. One step complete - cleared Nutrition. Need to clear psych hopefully Thursday and they'll submit to insurance! It's getting real!

    Cleared Nutrition

It's foreign to us too! Lol. Once insurance approves I can start pre-op testing and then meet with the surgeon for a surgery date. I'm hoping for late August or early September.

Hey @@Myka99 Quinoa is not only allowed but recommended on my plan - at least for weeks 2-6. Learned something new today! ????
  14. @@Michilingi It's due to the swelling after surgery and also how sensitive your new "system" will be. At first you probably won't be able to do more than sip and you don't want to drink too fast and risk getting sick (could cause complications when vomiting).

@@proudgrammy Thanks very much! Look forward to being on the Losers Bench!!!
  16. Wow - talk about a slap in the face from the person who should be supporting you the most! Do you think she's insecure and concerned what your weight loss will do to your relationship? I would have a very serious discussion about how those comments are hurtful and not supportive. It's not only about weight but about being healthy! I don't think you have to be overweight to understand and be supportive. Obviously if losing weight was easy (and keeping it off) - obesity would not be an issue! 1 in 5 deaths are linked to excess weight! Some study's show 18% of deaths are related to obesity! It's not easy to lose weight and only 5% who lose on their own keep the weight off. Sorry you're not getting the support you deserve!

    Thin crust pizza

Sounds delish, just note that shrooms (veggies) do have carbs. Better carbs than crust, but still carbs I make such a mess with my pizza toppings that it doesn't matter if the shrooms are on the top or the bottom LOL. It all goes in the same place! Oh yeah - sorry about that! I am allowed any veggies just not simple carbs so I never consider them as carbs. :-)

    Thin crust pizza

You can also put pizza toppings in a Portobello mushroom and have a no carb version.

    Baloon

The balloon surgery is for minimal weight loss and very temporary. I'm not sure many surgeons perform it yet as I believe it's very new.
  22. @@Renkoss Increasing your protein will probably help and try to increase fluids. You might want to get some protein water to drink in between meals. Changing up your exercise may kick you out of the stall too. Hang in there!

    Post Your Silly Rant

"@@Syl 153" Your constant posts are rude and disrespectful - so please take your own advice! I am most often kind, caring and helpful on this forum until people like you piss me off completely. You are rambling and not providing value to anyone. I didn't say anything until about the 20th post from you that was just trying to stir the pot and was completely annoying. Please find another forum to troll.
