How to help spouse accept surgery
KristenLe replied to rdharri's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
@@rdharri It makes me sad that your husband has said these things and made you feel horrible! The fact that you know he "has a huge issue with your weight" is upsetting. It may be that he's insecure himself and afraid of the changes in you and your confidence. Don't let him bring you down. This is not about him! It's your body - your health and your emotional well-being! I would be open and communicate with him about your feelings and his fears (if his attitude is coming from fear). You may want to consider counseling - either together or at least for yourself. Stay strong! -

See if you can apply for Care Credit. Good luck! -
Talk to your PCP. It's unusual for the weight loss to trigger this at 6 months but you never know. No one should feel the need to live with anxiety - there are meds that will help and therapy is good at anytime!

Going that long without protein shakes is harsh and unhealthy (in my opinion). You need protein to heal and function!

There's very little that can be done aside from plastic surgery. Congrats on your loss!!!

Walk, sip (try different temps) and rest!

Don't worry...just stay on plan. It's for a safer surgery!

I'd call Dr again! You should be able to tolerate fluids. Did you try different temps! Sent from my KFFOWI using the BariatricPal App

This is not WLS related but I wanted to send prayers to all those impacted by the terrorist attack in Orlando. 50 people have lost their lives and 52+ more injured - it's absolutely heartbreaking! I hope all our Bariatric Pal Family are safe as are your loved ones! Orlando Strong!
