    Ladies?

It's most likely due to the hormones released by fat burning. That's a long time though so give your Dr a call.

    very slow loser, completely stalled

@@surfhudson Congrats on your weight loss. Grazing and not getting enough water could be the problem. How much protein are you getting? That's a significant amount of exercise and you need protein and fluids. By grazing- you're probably not tracking macros. Are you staying low carb? Too few calories? Shake things up - add more protein, healthy carbs like veggies and fruit, healthy fats, increase calories (or reduce if too high), drink more water.

    DEHYDRATION!?

@ Oh that's not nearly enough. I was required that much every 15 mins. Be careful- you don't want to end up in hospital!

2 weeks post op and FREAKING OUT!

You're not up fat lbs - just water. It's very nerve wracking but try and relax - stress won't help and may actually cause more water retention. It could be a stall (very common) or you may be getting your period, constipated, had too much sodium, not getting az much fluids as usual!

    Helpppp! I got Diarrhea

Yes - same for me. Not so much bad pains - but diarrhea. Mine actually stopped today (now I'm afraid I'm going to be constipated). I had surgery the day before you! Be sure you are drinking alot.

    Gaining when stalled

It's very likely it is water weight. Are you due for your period, constipated, having more sodium than usual, not drinking as much? Don't panic - make sure your tracking your food and water and meeting goals.

    Getting over the guilt

@@Vinasu That's very sad that your Mom treated you that way. It'd be surprising if you didn't feel the way you do! I hope you feel better about yourself soon and can be proud of what you've accomplished!

    DEHYDRATION!?

How much are you drinking? Sometimes meds can change the color of urine too - so take that into consideration.
  11. @@ZollDoll Pills smaller than an m&m are fine immediately after surgery. I had to take pills in the hospital post-op.

It's absolutely normal! Stick with the plan and you'll be fine.

liquid diet questionS- 5 days in.

@@BrookeTiffani Do you have a Costco or BJs near you? Premier Protein prepared shakes are very reasonable there and they often have coupons. I bought a blender bottle for my pre-op shakes. I would fill with milk and take a separate container of protein powder to mix during work or when not at home. That worked well. Be sure to drink plenty of water or non caloric drinks to help with constipation.

    post op

Worst for me was the post-op nausea. I am 6 days out and have very little pain or even discomfort. I have no idea about weight loss- not weighing right now.
  16. I doubt it. It's the gas, swelling and everything that goes along with surgery. I felt that way for about 4 days but much better now and can even take normal sips. It may take a while but just keep pushing fluids.

    October Surgery Buddies

I was sleeping on my side the night of surgery and on my stomach by day 5. My stomach does not hurt at all though. I bought a body pillow to prop myself on my side but haven't needed it.

    October Surgery Buddies

Hey there, I had my surgery on Tuesday, October 18th and I'm doing pretty darn well. I came home on Thursday and I've been out for two or three walks daily. My only concern is that I'm retaining a bunch of Fluid. I know this because my weight went up and not down. That was a bit discouraging. I hope all of your October surgeries went great. Glad you are doing well @@mfoxworthy ! Drink more fluids. If you are constipated or getting your period - you'll retain.

    October Surgery Buddies

Hi Surgery Buddy! Keep drinking- you need to stay hydrated- you'll feel better. Try other fluids. Power Ade zero, sf popsicles were my go-to for a few days. Also hot tea. Hang in there. 20. Walk and small sips. Try warm or hot liquids and see if better.

    Why no preop diet?

I wasn't supposed to have one and was glad but my Dr requires it for 2 weeks. I'm not sure what it did for my liver but it definitely prepared me for post-op. Get the head hunger and cravings under control pre-op if you can. Post-op eating will be easier.
  22. KristenLe

    Sooo weird

I'm able to take normal sips too. I had a rough first few days but doing well at 6 days post-op. I'm able to take normal sips too. I had a rough first few days but doing well at 6 days post-op.

    f**king freezing

I'm freezing (and only 6 days post-op). I'm usually walking around the house in a tank top and underwear no matter what the weather is - and since getting home from the hospital - I'm all bundled up and still freezing. I'm getting ready to take a nap under a heavy comforter, a heating pad and with the space heater blowing on me. The space heater we have is very safe.
  24. @@Annlinet No - unless you have plastic surgery. You can do some things to help - stay hydrated, get in all your Protein, moisturize, strength/resistance training - but if you end up with saggy skin - there's nothing aside from surgery that will get rid of it.
  25. @@RNMomof4 They're going to be gross flat - not worth it. Give them to the kids - and get yourself something else.
