I was basically the same start weight as you I had to do the two week pre opp diet however and my pre surgery weight was 103kgs so 206lbs I was self pay and they were happy to operate on me There may be rules around insurance pre surgery weight etc if your self pay also I wouldn't worry. I have fibro and rheumatoid had the sleeve 8 months ago lost 42kgs my rheumatoid got worse for awhile had a medicine change no fibro flare up no pain I'm doing better than I have in a long time Sent from my iPhone

I wouldn't worry I had bowl issues after surgery for about the first two months couldn't go then couldn't stop going I don't know what was worse to be honest hang in their it will come rite Sent from my iPhone

Just immediate friends and family no social media etc however If a overweight person asks me how I've lost all the weight which they have I'm 100% honest as to give an overweight person false hope about a fad diet or an exercise regime That worked a miracle on me which I never did is something I could never do because as a former big person if someone lost a lot of weight and if asked them I'd be on that fad diet or exercise regime the next day and I can't lie to them. I felt the same at the start I was like well ok this has not worked what an expensive waste of money dam!! I'm 8 months out it seemed so slow in the start and then all of a sudden boom I was thinner and everyone was commenting and asking and I felt like wow you've only just noticed I've been on this journey ages but within 8 months I was 40kgs down I am almost at goal it honestly just happens don't stress or fight it just be patient and stick to the rules slow and steady wins the race. Don't get me wrong I'm not skinny I feel a lot smaller but I will never be super skinny either but I'm happy with that I won't need any plastics I had a tummy tuck years ago so have never had a big tummy even at my largest. Sent from my iPhone

Wow congratulations so pleased for you I've lost 39kgs and have 4kgs to go I reached my goal then dropped my goal another 5kgs so Ill sit at 70kgs at my new goal when I get their. I'm good not drinking much Water hate it eating a few more carbs need to stop don't wait before eating after drinking all the time but I don't drink after eating I always wait other than that I can eat anything breads not good feels heavy and I need to remain low carb anyway I'm so happy with the new thin me!!!! My surgeon told me that the sleeve is just as successful for overall weight lost vs bypass it's just the sleeve hasn't been around as long so there isn't as much research available but in time there will be better statistics to compare there are less negative possible side effects with the sleeve I felt Sent from my iPhone

Ten years of up and down that's a long time nothing has worked for you in ten years what have you got to lose?????? imagine seeing the scale going down down down how it would elate and inspire you it would give you more self confidence you would feel fantastic and not recognise the slim person looking back at you getting sleeved in march was the best thing I've done for me I was self pay and I'd tried everything this was it for me I'm 7 months out and only 4.3 kgs away from goal I was 115kgs when I started this journey so similar to you when my surgeon said you could be at your goal in 6 months I thought whatever he's crazy he was not crazy I'm almost there never imagined I could be this small I get compliments every day people don't recognise me I can shop in normal shops I love clothes again I feel sexy again I've found the old me and I wouldn't change it for the world So tell me what have you got to lose except unwanted pounds!!!! I had a 38 bmi I think I had vsg march 29th this year have lost 39kgs to date 5kgs to go to get to goal I have virtually no lose skin my surgeon did tell me I'd almost be at goal within the first 6 months I was like what ever couldn't see it being possible but it was Sent from my iPhone

Hi I'm in nz and buy the pre made Atkins shakes in vanilla and chocolate they are not to bad as a go to and are really nice chilled I don't use them all the time but if I know I've got a busy week ahead il grab a few they don't have a bad aftertaste or upset my stomach like some of the whey Protein I've had. I was similar over the loss of my beloved coffee I proceeded with surgery thinking that was that no coffee again however on the day of my surgery I made a joke about no coffee to my surgeon he said what you talking about you can have a coffee when you get home after surgery In A few days he's been to Several recent conferences and coffee was a topic and there was no proven issues having coffee as per usual he felt I'm glad I was prepared to give it up as it proved my commitment but il admit I was elated to be able to drink my liquid gold.
