I have seen this, crazy! Jacksonville is my husband's hometown, we lived there for years but left in 1999. Still, we have lots of family and friends there, one of my besties lives In Jax Beach but luckily just a few blocks west of this, her house is fine. I am worried about St. Augustine, things look pretty messed up there, and all that history

@lacemouse St. Augustine is pretty bad. St. Augustine flooded all the way to US 1. The last I heard they have not re-opened the bridge of Lions so no one has been able to get to Anastasia Island yet.....The news had some video taken from the air and it doesn't look like there is a lot of structural damage .....but the sand erosion looks terrible....lots of houses hanging at the edge of cliffs!....I also heard that A1A was washed away in St Augustine....not sure though............And since you're familiar with the area I'll give you all my updates... The Shands bridge has major damage where the actual roadway was washed away on the east side of the bridge....it will be closed for a very long time!.....it looks like for this area the worst areas were Jax beach, St. Augustine, Ponte Vedra, and Villano beach. But the good news is there hasn't been any reports of anyone losing their life.
