  1. That is exactly what I've told the few that I don't want to tell the details to! Great minds think alike!
  2. @@findingnish sorry I don't know how to help you with the app on a phone....
  3. I'll add you to my friends list. Good luck at your visit tomorrow!

    Am I doing enough walking

I think you're doing great! Once you're up to it, and want to try more, in order to get out of the heat go to one of the malls.....there's plenty of indoor walking available there and you can check out some of the cute clothes you'll be able to wear in no time!!! Let your body tell you what's "enough"...

    Looking to talk with someone

Barbara I'm sorry you're not doing well.....I'll be happy to chat but I haven't even had my surgery yet. I think you need to talk with some of the Vets on here. They will certainly reach out to you if you post in this forum http://www.bariatricpal.com/forum/384-post-operation-gastric-sleeve-surgery-questions-answers/ instead of where you posted. I hope you're feeling better very soon. Kathy

    Loose skin

It also has a lot to do with how much weight you loose......The more you have to loose the more likely you'll have extra skin.....but at 20 years old you also have an advantage because your skin is more elastic than an older person......I think the answer is it depends......
  7. How to add to friends? This app is not that user friendly Sent from my SM-N910P using the BariatricPal App When you click on the person's name.....then scroll towards the bottom and there is a button that say's "add me as a friend".....I'm working from a lap top I don't know if it's different if you're working from a phone.

  9. This is great! Looks like there's a bunch of us. Now can someone make this time go by fast???
  10. So the really good thing about doing all liquids for this two days before my "real" pre-op diet starts on Monday is it's giving me a chance to try all my Protein powders.......Let me just say this unjury chicken both flavor is WONDERFUL!!! So far today I've done great! I've had 440 calories, 77g of protein, 24g of carbs, 12g of sugar, 4g of fat.....but only 1g Fiber.....and 64oz of Water, and it's only 5:42......I got this!!! I think I may go pick up some Benefiber or something tomorrow and add it to my Protein shakes.

    Surgery today

I'm sorry you're not doing as well.....but just hang in there. I haven't had my surgery yet, I still have two weeks to go.....but I know I've read where several other people have posted on here that their tastes change completely after surgery, so I'd say what you're experiencing is completely normal. Good luck!!
  12. Thanks for everyone's input...... I've decided I'm doing all liquid today and tomorrow......I just had my second Protein shake of the day. @@Inner Surfer Girl You're right, I probably am making it harder than it has to be, but on the other hand I also think after these two days of nothing but liquids, when Monday comes around and I start my regular two week pre-op diet, rather than feeling deprived, I'll be thankful for the food. We shall see! Thanks again everyone!!!
  13. All of my weights prior to insurance approval were submitted.....I had to ensure I stayed above a 40 bmi until it was submitted to insurance. Mine was submitted and now I start my two week diet on Monday so I'm free to lose weight now. I felt the same as you I wanted to start loosing but couldn't. Good luck!!!
  14. I know I'm just beginning, but once I'm on the other side of this surgery I think a few days of a liquid diet is my plan for breaking any long stalls.....So I say go for it!!! Make sure to let me know when you start so I can make sure to follow all your posts. You are extremely entertaining when you are eating "real" food and I can't imagine how much fun you'll be on all liquids!!! hahaha!!
  15. I guess that's why I felt compelled to ask "if this was a stupid idea"....haha Thanks I still haven't decided but I still haven't had anything today so I can still decide either way. hahaha

How do I ask my doctor?

I think going to the seminar first is a great idea...........schedule an appointment with your PCP a day or two later. Open the conversation with..."I just went to this great seminar and I think this is a great opportunity for me, and I want your support. What do you think?"................. Good luck!!!!

    any may sleevers?

I've started a thread for all the May 16th surgery folks.....I'd love to have us all in one place. Here's the link to the thread, comment so we all know who's who! We can all get this done together! http://www.bariatricpal.com/topic/366513-may-16th-surgery-buddieslets-do-this-together/
  19. I'm thrilled that I finally got a surgery date of 5/16....Now the countdown starts!!!

  20. ohhhhh Fitbit Blaze.......... maybe I need to tell my daughters I know what the perfect Mother's day gift will be for me...
  21. Good luck!!! The unjury brand has a chicken broth flavored Protein powder in case to get too tired of the sweet!!
  22. They told me it's for lab work. I'm used to getting fasting blood work regularly, and asked the scheduler if I needed to fast that morning. She found out no, they didn't need me to do that for this one. I've already had chest x-ray, too. Also EKG, stress test, etc. In addition to the pain meds I think I'm going to ask for a couple of valium that I can take the night and morning before surgery.....never hurts to ask!!
