Weird, isn't it?--how you know how wonderful something smells and how delicious you know it would taste, but yet you're not hungry? As long as you can keep separating real hunger from head hunger you are going to do marvelously well on your WLS journey.
I'm working on it. I still overeat a bit - not to the point of throwing up, but to the point of being VERY uncomfortable for a bit. I've always been one to eat food because it tastes good, not because I'm hungry. Can't do that anymore! It's a hard habit to break, but each day is a bit easier.
Every day a little bit more successful. No one can ask for more. I found that I really had to slow my eating wwwaaaayyyy down to allow my head to catch up with my sleeve---or for the "I'm full" realization to reach my brain. You'll figure it out.
