    Gastritis

Has anyone ever experienced gastritis a couple months post surgery? I'm 2 months op and all of sudden developed gastritis. I don't smoke, drink or take NSAIDs. I was told by my surgeon to take a PPI twice/day. It's going on almost 2 weeks and no relief. And I am miserable from the pain (and for those of you that are going to recommend I go back to my surgeon I have an appt Tuesday I just want to see if anyone has any in sight or has been through this) Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App

    Soft foods early?

We are in the same boat lol. And I think sometimes people on this site forget that this is a non judgmental forum and certain attitudes towards certain questions such as yours is all that it is...a simple question. Telling you you're crazy etc I'm sure is not what you intended for an answer!!! Good luck!! Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App

    Soft foods early?

I too can relate to your frustration from the routine of shakes and Soups. I was sleeved on 5/3 and on the full liquid phase. I tried a small peice of salmon (chewed to the God's might I add) myself and my stomach did perfectly fine. I'm definitely not going to make a habit of it but the short gratification I received from it was what I needed. I think anyone that says they have never dipped and dabbed during the post op phase would be lying. I also do not see anything wrong with the strained broccoli and cheddar soup. It's no different from the cream of chicken etc we are eating. Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App

    Need ideas

I am one week post op and am having an extremely hard time not only meeting Protein requirements and goals but getting any protein in period. I am 1 week post op and on the full liquid phase. My stomach can't tolerate the protien shakes right now. Each sip of it hurts. I mix Protein powder with my Soups but I know it's not enough. Anyone have any food suggestions? 8. I am 4 days post op and I am having trouble distinguishing the "full" feeling I am expecting to get. I have not entirely tried to eat to get the full feeling but it's scares me because I do not feel any restriction when I eat. I eat about 3 teaspoons of applesauce or pudding or like 1/4 cup of Soup. It takes me a while to eat it but I never feel full. I just stop when I feel that this was enough. How much is everyone able to eat in one sitting 4 days post op? Does anyone experience rumbling and gurgling with each sip and bite? Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App
