Regret! Anyone? Missing real food!
Mudgy6 replied to curlysue86's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thanks D Mohr. It's taking me some time to get through this. I'm 4 weeks post and my stomach will not allow anything but broth and popsicles. Everything else makes me nauseous, even the Protein drinks. I've tried them all. All I can't tolerate is those things I just mentioned. I don't regret my procedure because I want to be healthy. I just have to give me time to heal. Sent from my SM-G550T1 using the BariatricPal App -

Protein and fluids. I'm 4 months out and I still can't eat good but applesauce, sugar free popsicles, and Jello. Those are the only things that will stay down Sent from my SM-G550T1 using the BariatricPal App -

2 weeks post-op Feel like I can eat anything!
Mudgy6 replied to kaseybc's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had that same problem when I came home feeling like Nothing had been done to my stomach. I could drink and eat everything, but that changed a week later. Now I'm 4months out and some times my stomach wont keep nothing down. By the time I take 2-3 small fork bites, Im full. If I take that 4th bite, I will be hugging the toilet. Me and my toilet have become the best of friends over the last few weeks. UUUGGG. It feels like something is sitting in my chest until it finally comes up. I hate that feeling, NASTY. I have to keep going -
Take it slow. Sip Sip Sip and make sure you walk. That will help with the gas. Go at your pace.

I went to my checkup and of course they was going to check my a1c. They tried. It was so low that the machine couldnt read it. I'm like what? What do you mean you cant read it. What does that mean? I was sent to the lab for blood work. Im still waiting to hear from them. On the bright side, NO MORE INSULIN FOR ME, YEAH. Im so happy cause I was really tired of sticking myself.

Is something wrong with me?
Mudgy6 replied to KariLovesColorado's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
When I came home I felt like my stomach was the same size it was before surgery. I could drink more fluids. After a few days, I couldn't eat or drink a lot. It went down to a few sips. Now it feel like everything get stuck in my chest. I can get in less than half of my Protein shake. When I fix grits, I'm only suppose to have a quarter cup. I can get in less than that. 2-3 small fork or spoon size and I'm done. If I take that 4th bite, I will be hugging the toilet. Lately the toilet and I have a close personal relationship lol Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
Wow, My dr stresses Protein first and always first. We need that above all, and fluids and Vitamins. Veggies is last if you can get it in. I like that idea about V8. I will most certainly get some. Do you get the diet one? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I would think that all the stuff that's required for the surgery, we would be doing the same tests. Yes there are those that might need more, the same base tests should be required from the insurance companies. I don't understand why certain insurance companies deny people surgery even if they've done everything that was required. I hope I have put my words together for you to understand.
