  1. Got banded in 4/08 and haven't had a fill for the last three years. Got a fill (am at 3.25 cc) on Thursday and have stomach pain whenever I lay down. I was on all liquids until today (Sunday) when I incorporated some mushy food. Things go down fine for the most part - but I can't sleep because my abdomen hurts whenever I lay down. And I also noticed a lot of gurgling noises when I tried to lay down. Does this sound like normal stuff that will go away (when??) or is my band too full?

    5Th Day Frustration

I heated up ricotta cheese (to liquify it) and had a small dish of marinara sauce
  3. Had my surgery in 2008 and had a fill that year and on again in february 2009. I moved accross the country and for various reasons hadn't gotten another fill until last Thursday. The doctor drew all the fluid out and found I still had 2 cc in my 10 cc band. He took that fluid out and put in a total of 3.25 cc. I am pretty much okay uring the afternoon, but I wake up in the middle of the night and in the morning with pretty bad stomach pain. Is this normal? Any suggestions?

    Whats A Fill?

It is also called an adjustment. It is when the doctor inserts fluid into the band to allow more restriction
  5. I was banded on Monday 3/10 and returned to law school and work on Monday 3/17 (one week later), and was just fine. I did have some pain and was moving much more slowly, but it is definitely do-able. The one thing you'll need to plan for is carrying books/laptop to and from class as it may be too heavy (maybe get a bag on wheels). You will be tired and sore, but as long as you take it REALLY easy when you do have down time you should be okay.
