I know this sounds like a goofy question but what is "PB" mean. I tried to scroll back for the answer. Pattie, I dont think you should be nervous, I think that the experience mentioned earlier is probably rare. Experiences vary. My girlfriend had the surgery last year(she looks great) occasionally gets nauseated. Which I think is a part of her not consistently breaking old eating habits such as stopping when full instead of trying to finish off her plate. I had surgery on 9-11, and had pain the first week and a half and that it for my bad experience, I had that feeling of food being stuck with certain types of food, but I dont eat that anymore. Tuna is my friend. But I personally have not had any nausea, and I have not ever vomited.

Hello all. I was banded 9-11.

I am beginning to worry about gaining before my first fill, but I realize I still cant, and do not eat as much as I did before the band. I'm passed the liquid phase, which is prob why I am worrying . I think I going to have to start exercising now

Shop at Ross for a while. You can get a pair of pants for $9-12, then you wont feel to bad giving them away.

lol. I feel like a baby now because I was on here everyday for hours asking for suggestions for pain. The only thing that was working was taking painkillers, and that was because it put me to sleep. By the 8th day, all the pain was gone.

I have only been banded three weeks, so I dont want to come off as though Im experienced, but I didnt know about all the little quirks I would have trying to get semi-soft foods down but, I think the band is great in the aspect that we are forced to make changes that we could not make without the band. I haven't had sweets before my band, and have not been able to tolerate most things after, so as of now I have no desires for those things that were my biggest downfall. I have not been filled, but I have lost 10 pds so far, and I believe I lost a lot of fat, so modifying my eating habits, for me is a minute sacrifice for a waistline

Does anyone have any tips for pain. I have been banded since 9-11 and when I walk for a period of time the pain becomes almost unbearable. I know it hasn't been that long, but I am wondering if the pain is normal, and if there is anything that works maybe heating pads; cold packs?

I have been banded since Tuesday 9-11 and there is a lot of pain in my side. I have the painkillers, but after 2 days Im tired of bring drugged up, so I haven't taken it again since this morning. I hear walking around helps, so i have been mobile, but yesterday after doing some grocry shopping, I started getting spasmic pain, and have to rush home. It does seem to be subsiding some.

I hd a reduction three years ago, and I now wish that I never did. I lost semsation in my nipples, which for me was a signoficant change for my intimate relationships, I also have numbness on the sides of my breast, and my nipples look like a pasty. And there was also horrible scarring. After my weight loss, I will look into having surgery to correct the initiatl surgery, at least removing some of the scars
