Sept 2007 anyone lost and going plast.surg
theninside replied to slimmy120's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Does anyone know if there is any truth to the rumor that your insurance may cover some of the expenses for certain areas where there is excessive fat, because the extra skin is considered a health risk. I'm not at goal yet, I lost 70 pounds, and my goal is 12 more pounds, however, Depsite going to the gym, I do not believe the fat that is hanging off my arms and inner thighs are going to dissappear through working out. Has anyone attempted to go through their insurance. -
What Are you DYING to Wear Once You Lose the Weight?
theninside replied to ItalianSoul's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I can't wait to get into a pair of stilleto's with a strap around the ankle, with my fat feet looking like Shaquill O Neal's foot. -
What the Hell....Is He REALLY in my corner?
theninside replied to tktilly27's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
:confused:Don't profess to know it all, but my experience first hand is that if you have a man that is insecure, then he will not handle the weight loss once it really starts to come off. All my friends and coworkers tell me how good I am looking, but from this man, I actually get criticism that I never got 60 pound heavier. Iv'e been told I had a flat azz, which is an insult for sista. I been told that I'm losing too much. I still am over 200 pounds. Just ridiculous stuff. During my therapy session, me and my therapist discussed this possibility, and I told him that I didn't have to worry about that with my man because he was supportive and understanding, but a whole new person emerged, once significant weight came off. I did some changing for the better I think, I gained confidence, I changed my hair, and keep it done, I am starting to have more options with clothing, but I am the same person, and I think some men cannot understand that. They feel more men will be attracted to you (which they will), and you will see their insecurities., So I think you and I are in a postion where we have to reevaluate our relationships, for our own happiness. -

LOL! Yes I am glad you said the correct way. I see plenty of women some of whom are not neccesarily that big do a great disservice to hip huggers. -
What problems or issues contributed to you being overweight?
theninside replied to ItalianSoul's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
This is a great forum for women who have underlying issues that contributed to weight gain. I didnt have emotional related weight gain, so like myself I leaned toward thinking all overweight people were similar to me just fat and lazy, but I thank you women for sharing your stories, I think it will open a lot of our eyes(especially me), as well as encourage other women to evaluate themselves and grow. -
You look great lexy. Beautiful family

Wow! SIze 10 from 22-24 is really great. I can only imagine how that feels. It's funny you siad that about thinking the pants were cut big, because that has been me at size 16. The first 16's I thought were just cut big, because the last time I went shopping I was buying 22's. Once I brought 16's in different sizes the denial wore off. lol! Congratulations! Good job.

Where will YOU shop?
theninside replied to skinnyoneday's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Anywhere, where I can get just one pair of painted of designer painted on jeans. lol -
This is my first Thanksgiving with restriction. Now traditionally, Thanksgiving is one of the two Holidays were not only is it accepted to eat like a pig, but it's expected. I don't want to have to explain to room full of people, wht I'm eating a spoonful of mashed potatoes and a slice of turkey. Has anyone yet handled Thankisgiving, where every one is stuffing themselves to oblivion?

When dou you start shopping clothes?
theninside posted a topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I have a question about clothing. I started out at size 24, and now I wear 20's and some 18's. The thing is I have been a terrible clothing horse, and now I find myself not looing as tailored and fashionable as I was as a bigger girl. Should I go on a shopping spree although I am a ways from goal weight or just rough it out. There are some things that I just had to get rid of? It may sound a little superficial but I'm almost down to nothing.:smile2: -
5 in 1 blender or magic bullet
theninside replied to NEWME2008's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
If you buy it let us know how it works. I am gonna try to go to Penny's and check it out. I have three smoothies books, and not one blender, bullet or anything in the house. -
Oh no! Thanksgiving is coming!!!!!
theninside replied to theninside's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I know this is bad for me to say, but by Thanksgiving you will probably be able to eat. I hear that you still shouldn't over do it because you can still stretch the stomach, but you will probably be able to have a very small scoop of most things. Only because it seems there are many things the band just won't tolerate.I would just stay away from anything with bread like biscuits, cakes etc. Ok ladies please don't fuss at me I said it was a bad thing for me to say:thumbdown:. -
Thanks! She's a little to thin, but I would love to have her hair. LOL. They put 3 cc's in your first fill? That seems like a lot. I'm up to 3 cc's now, and this is the most I am very restricted. I think the weight is going to fly off you know. So be prepared to tell everyone how wonderful weight watcher is. LOL!

WoW! From 24 to 16 Congratulations. At one point I was holding on to the little clothes, and now I'm holding on to big clothes "just in case". A 14 is my goal size, and I started at 24, so I'm feeling inspired. -
Good luck, I think the fills will help a lot. I just recently started consistently losing after my last fill in September. It's great for us that it comes off slow. For the most part we don't have to worry about hanging skin. My arms however were very fat, so theyre flappy already.

Congratulations ladies! The hell doesn't last too long. I keep looking at an old picture of myself when I was a fox, so I can remember what it's all for, and what Im aspiring too. I know I'm slightly delusional. lol. I wish you both luck.

I think we should all get back to what we are her for and stop giving this person attention. Somewhere a village is missing an idiot. (Sorry, I tried ration) april apple thanks for the link. I'm definatley am going to try the Shea butter. I've been told that you have to find a product where the Shea is at least listed as the first 4 ingredients, or it's not as effective. And many of the prodcuts that I have seen at the local places, contain all types of chemicals. I also have an appt w/ my surgeon to see if it is necessary to have it cauterized. I've had this scar for a year, so I know I'm past the ovet the counter stage right now.

I really am going to try to focus on being with my family. Some of whom I haven't seen in a year or more. As far as them noticing, they definately will. I am at a real high restriction now, so most of the time I have trouble with turkey and chicken, and all vegetables. I can imagine my family actually thinking I'm anorexic. lol. But I am looking forward to the Holidays Thanksigiving and Christmas are my favoite times of the year.:tongue2: -
Do you burp more now that you are banded? (non-productive, just air)
theninside replied to dustout's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Not eating 2 at least two hours before bed should do it. If I eat anything close to bed time, I burp it up and then I have o jump up and run to the bathroom. Same thing happens if I recline and eat. I have to completely sit up. -
Funny!!!! I think. I have a serious Coldstone addiction. Founder's Favorite in the Gotta have it size to be exact. I gave it up:confused_smile:, well cut back when I was doing weight watchers, and was amazed at how many points it added up to be. So I'll have it about twice a month in the like it size. Plus it's an expensive addiction. I think drugs would probably be cheaper.

When can you go for your first fill?

I have tried the assests at target, and like them. The only thing I can sau about them is that after a few hours of the day the panty that I had on would roll down and move out of place.. Could have been the wrong size. I hear a lot of great things about Spanx however, and I am looking forward to trying them, if I can use my coupons from Lane Bryant.
