That's a huge bummer! I'm just beginning my journey and I'm so excited already that I know I would be devastated to have to wait any longer once so close! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  5. Just went to my seminar last week and have my first appointment coming up in about a week! Meeting with a Physicians Assistant and Dietitian. During my seminar they recommended starting getting everything in order and gave me a checklist to contact my insurance company and schedule my psych appointments. I'm very excited for this journey! Not sure who I should tell!

I'm just starting into the process and have only told my boyfriend and parents and that's probably where it will stay until after surgery. When I told my mom (who had gastric bypass 10 years ago) she was so exited for me but quickly said, don't tell anyone until after because people have their opinions and you don't need them.
