    Ketosis Rash?

I had my surgery on 4/28 and I posted earlier this week. My neck has been itching constantly and broke out this past week in bumps. I tried Benadryl and it didn't help. I spoke to my doctor and she tested my urine. It had ketones in it. So we think that is what is going on with my neck. She encouraged me to begin eating more carbs too. Hope this helps. 2. It's been 8 weeks since my surgery and I've noticed that my back itches a lot. Within the past two days, my neck began itching and now I have hives. I've read some references to this as a result of gastric surgery on Google. But, have any of you experienced this? What did your doctor say? This is crazy, and I would like a scientific understanding of this. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

That is about right.... just starting to notice that I am shedding hair. I had hoped that it wouldn't happen to me. But, it looks like it is.

no energy and alot of weakness

I was told that I needed to up my starches a bit and it did wonders for my energy in the morning. I really on my ½ packet of oatmeal with a couple of berries.
  6. This is exactly why I wrote this thread! I was starting to climb up that crazy tree and needed to be talked down by you all. Thanks!!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  7. I'm frustrated today..... Tomorrow will be 4 weeks since my sleeve and I have not lost the weight I expected. I lost 14 pounds on the pre-surgery 2 week diet (Optifast) and weighted 233 on the day of surgery. I have only lost 15 pounds since the surgery and am feeling quiet discouraged. I am walking regularly two times per day. My meals are within limits of the diet plan. I am using Bariatastic to track all of the food and exercise intake now to make sure that I am in alignment. I am getting my Protein, fluids (except for 2 days this past week). I am starting to have thoughts like "Is this it?" "I had the surgery and am still gonna be this size?" When I met my NUT and surgeon a couple of weeks ago, they both said I was doing well with the weight loss. I recently heard about the 3-4 week stall (from this site) and just don't know what else to do. I just needed to vent and I can feel some twinges of fear and regret popping up.... I guess I am looking for some support, advice, and reassurance. Thanks.

    Pulling sensation

I am so grateful for these posts!!!! I have been having pain on my right side and was worried that it was my gall bladder. I did a little searching and it seems that this happens frequently. I'm okay laying down but when I sit upright or bend over I feel a sharp pain in my side. I am almost 3 weeks (in 2 days) post-surgery and have been feeling great until a couple of days ago. Hope the rest of you feel better soon!!!!!!!
  9. Doing great! Feeling great! About to begin pureed foods. Lost 24 pounds since the Optifast and 10lbs since surgery.
  10. I feel good. I've never been so grateful to pass gas though. I'm struggling with the chewable Vitamins and need to find some that taste better. Iced herbal mint tea has been wonderful to soothe my stomach, and I've been working hard to meet my Protein and Fluid intake goals. My kids came to visit and made the last few days so wonderful; they all waited on me, brought takeout of my favorite Soup and made sure I had plenty of fliids. We went for walks and I just felt so supported. I feel pretty good overall. I'm just trying to be kind and gentle to myself during this period. Gonna spend this next week focusing on exercise and meeting my nutritional goals. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Feeling so much better now that I'm not nauseated. Walked with the kids today, almost getting all of my fluids, feeling such great support from my family, and had the best ¼ cup of tomato basil soup from Cajun Kate's. I must say I am feeling good today. Still taking it easy but listening to my body. Hugs to you all. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Was wondering how you were feeling. The gas is finally being relieved today. And, it is quite painful. Today, I began my full liquid diet and am even able to eat Soup. That was a god-send. Trying miniature bites and sips. I am having a hard time drinking; worried about getting dehydrated though. I keep reminding myself that this is temporary. Today is a much better day!!! It's gonna get easier from here. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
