    Feeling Down

Your doctor will prescribe an antiemetic (med for nausea) and you should take it. It has few side effects and works great to get you through.

    Sleeping After Sleeve Surgery

I side/stomach sleeper, meaning I look like I'm climbing rocks. I had many concerns about a lot of things that were really unwarranted. I didn't know if I could bend over to tie my shoes, wash my feet, pick up anything and so on. Fact is, we are all different and you will have your own experiences but you will be able to do a lot of things normally, including sleeping on your stomach. Probably has a little to do with the surgeons technique as well.
  3. I am two weeks post op and I was hungry for ANYTHING that wasn't clear liquid. Once you start on mushy food the cravings should subside quite a bit. It seems I'm one of those people who can eat anything after VSG with no bad affects. I've had meatloaf, baked chicken, seafood salad, etc and it was all GREAT! Just have to be sure to keep it around a half cup. I found out how important it is to measure ur food until you can judge how much your portion should be. It is very easy to eat too large portions. Also, you have been used to getting a lot of your Water from your food. Sometimes you think you are hungry when actually you are dehydrated. Drink up!
  4. My surgery was on Tuesday around noon and I left the hospital around 4-5 hours later! I felt so good from the anesthesia that I told the nurse "This can't be this easy". I actually refused the wheelchair and walked out on my own. Well, I was somewhat right. Second day was a little rougher just because I was tired and a bit sore. Day 3 is better and I'm getting all my Vitamins and Fluid down but it ain't easy. I know it will improve daily. Got to start getting my walking in! Just feel too tired right now.
