I'm down 107 but I'm down to 116. :001_tongue: The last time I weighed that little was college, I think.
-
That doesn't sound like a normal progression. You might want to have some blood work done to see if you are having hormonal issues or some sort of unrealized nutritional deficiency. I mean it couldn't hurt!
-
I think most boards have this as the default so that people don't come back months later and change all their posts around and make the thread incomprehensible.

I never expected to lose so much. I'm down 107 pounds as of this morning.

Yes, after a while you can't edit stuff.

Greek yogurt has more protein that regular and I think it tastes better than adding protein powder to regular. Also, a lot of the regular yogurts have a lot of sugar.

Mine started coming out at 1.5 weeks! It started slowing down at 7 months (around, can't really remember exactly). In between, I tried *everything*. But right about the time I'd given up and stopped taking all the Vitamins and supplements, it started slowing down. :001_tt2: I didn't buy the special shampoo because I finally figured out it was caused by hormones being released from the weight loss and I was tired of spending so much money with no results. I'm at 9 months now and I still lose about 10 hairs a day in the shower. This is compared to the 100 a day that I used to lose though. So I'm happy.

And those who aren't having problems are scared. Should I repeat my story about how going to LBT made me decided to get a sleeve? I want you to be happy! :001_tt2:

How long until you went back to work?

I stayed overnight in the hospital. Went back to work at 1.5 weeks but wish I'd taken 2. I've had two c-sections and an open gallbladder and this was much easier than any of those. -
Sleeved 9 months ago in Mexico
MacMadame replied to CarolBuffy's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I just realized I'm 9 months out too. So we were probably sleeved right about the same time. -
A big reason why I didn't get the band is because of the restriction issues I saw other people having with it. I really wanted hunger control above everything else and that seems elusive for some. Btw, I'm weird when it comes to restriction. I can eat anything in the morning, but by evening I'm tighter and have to be more careful with chewing!

Even though I check "remember me", I am often not logged in if I come here from the main page. This means I can't find the User CP link and posts I've read aren't always marked as read. Just thought I'd report that.

An update: still have the problem but only when I come to "www.verticalsleevetalk.com" and not "verticalsleevetalk.com".

Nope, no list. There probably more than 50 doing it now but a lot of them are newcomers with little experience. Many of them treat their sleeve patients exactly like their bypass patients too, which is annoying. :001_tt2:

My scars are barely visible at 9 months out and I didn't do anything to them. Do you have a problem with scaring in general?

So I guess deaths don't really come in threes after all. Hey, I went shopping today too. And left my Talbot's bag in the dressing room of Macy's. So that's money just thrown away. Crap. Got a speeding ticket today too.

I don't think your prayer's were answered... Michael Jackson can go to hell. Oh wait... Because people had an image of him at the time of a little boy (from the Jackson 5). That's my opinion anyway.

Today I went for a swim in the lake. 1.25 miles.

Chocolate looking round things??? Hmm. I don't remember those. Maybe it's true about the ghrelin impacting your memory! LOL

But the funny thing is, there is no where in that thread where I stuck up for Wasa. Not because I wouldn't but because she hadn't done anything. I didn't really even stick up for Alex. I was just as annoyed at getting a PM from someone I didn't know about this board. I think it made him look bad.

Something I read on that other board

I found my lost work badge today. It was in the garbage bag in my car! I must have thrown something out when I had it in my hand and dropped it in there. -
I have kids and, if it were up to them, we'd eat at McDonald's every night. Now, we don't. I won't allow that. But we eat out more than I like and sometimes it's at fast food places. I've learned to navigate the menus though and make the best choices I can.

And attacking anyone who points out how irrational the whole thing is. The latest is.... I need therapy! :lol0:

Please any help / advice would be greatly appreciated! Newly post-op

You are on liquids. When liquids hit the pylorus valve, it opens up. So it's impossible to know how much you can actually eat when you are on liquids and some people find it very hard to feel full during that time. For me, I found some of the stuff like yogurt would make me feel full. But not everything. It just depended. Some people are very swollen and can't even drink a lot of liquids. But not everyone is like that. Some people aren't very swollen at all. But once you are on regular food, you should feel restricted whenever you eat anything solid. -
Lap Band vs Sleeve
MacMadame replied to attitudefree's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I think I could eat half a sandwich. But not the bread. I can eat 4 oz. of egg salad and that's more than they put on a sandwich usually. I have eaten 5 slices of roast beef but that was pushing it. (The lunch meat kind.) But 3 pieces and a piece of cheese is normally what I put in a sandwich. I think it just depends on what it is.
