Day one yall, and the struggle is REAL! Let me tell you by 3:00 all I could think about was a cheeseburger! It's gonna be a looong 2 weeks! ???????????????????? My coworker/close friend was then nice enough to point out between pre opp diet and post opp I'm not gonna eat a piece of real food until June.... IT'S APRIL! Aahhhhhhhhh!!

I want to see any pics you have! You look sooo good! And I'm so happy you didn't have much pain! Also, can I ask how tall you are and your starting weight if it's not too personal? Today has been worse! Lol. My day started with pre opp testing so no food and no water! I was dehydrated so the nurse had trouble drawing blood and had to dig around in my arm before having to move to my hand. Then I had the ugi so the first and only thing in my stomach was barium. The Protein shakes have been super gross all day. Waiting for Amazon to deliver my premier shakes which at least taste better. How's it going so far?I'm not gonna lie. It's pretty terrible. I had my pre surgical tests today too so no food all day yesterday and no Water all morning. The first thing I got to consume today was barium. I wanted to vomit. I'm very jealous of all the people on this diet that just have to have a low cal diet. I'd much rather that to no food at all! She didn't mean to. It was accidental. She was talking about moving into her new place and that date and me coming over for dinner because I can eat then and she mentioned her move date. That woman is an idiot. Most insurances do cover it. It just depends on how much. You won't have to pay one cent more than your max out of pocket. So think of that as your worst case scenario maybe? Sent from my SM-G900T using the BariatricPal App

My first appointment was in Feb. My surgery date was April 4th. My insurance notified me a week before surgery I had to switch surgeons. That has pushed my date out to April 20. Still not too bad but I was pretty upset at my insurance. Sent from my SM-G900T using the BariatricPal App

Hi new friends! First time poster and new to the forums! Been stalking around in here in anticipation for my surgery scheduled April 4th. My process started in Feb. I called my insurance before to get everything verbally cleared with my dr and the hospital he works out of. It's been pretty quick with minimal appointments and requirements. Didn't have to do a seminar or a lot of the other unnecessary things some doctors require which has been great! Got my psych clearance, got my insurance approval, and I scheduled my surgery a little over a week ago for April 4th. I started my short term disability claim for work and FINALLY allowed myself for the first time in this process to get excited! I had been hesitant up to this point because I was worried something would happen...... And then it did. My doctors assistant called me on Thursday to tell me my insurance just noticed, TWO WEEKS before my surgery that the hospital my doc works out of doesn't have some certification they require.... A certification I might add that the insurance rep I spoke with prior to any of my appointments said they had so I was good to go. So I have to start ALL over again. My new surgeon has a lot of additional appointments and requirements and I'm so sad and mad I could scream! Had to sit through the seminar on Saturday. Had my first appointment with him today. And I can't schedule some of his required appointments until mid April because they're booked. I'm trying to look at this like some hidden blessing in disguise, like maybe this surgeon will be better. Maybe I would have had complications with the other doctor.
