Gotta Get Off the RNY vs. Sleeve Seesaw: Heads or Tails, help me out!
ridgerunner replied to gina171's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I am curious about this question as well, ridgerunner... What's the tipping point between choosing RNY or DS? Personally, I have pretty much nixed the RNY idea. I have got to be able to take NSAIDS. -

Why does no one ever add the duodenal switch into the mix? Has anyone considered this as an option? If not, why not? -
CHM RIGHT!!! and my frustration is mean people.!! There vented!! Sorry you don't agree Sent from my SM-G930T1 using the BariatricPal App You seem to have missed that I did not comment on your rant in any way. You are entitled to vent your frustrations here like everyone else. What I was commenting on was your judgement of others for doing the same. On a side note: It seems that in my original post I have inadvertently credited @@KristenLe with stating something that was actually said by Syl 153, and I don't know how to fix it. Sorry! It's OK. It seems your words no longer matter. Just your intention. I hope I did not upset you with my comment on your post VSGAnn2014. If I did I truely apologize. It was not my intent.

Sorry, did a double.

Yes, it's shocking! But don't call anyone here "mean." It's against the rules. My interpetation of the rules is not that we should not call others "mean" but that we be more thoughtful in our responses and strive to not BE mean Yes, it's shocking! Surgery Monday...the anxiety
ridgerunner replied to Cocojh's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I still got a month to go so I can only imagine the anxiety and racing thoughts you must be experiencing. Only advise I can give is to maybe embrace these feelings and realy go with it. Maybe you will get it all out of your system...and maybe don't listen to me at all. What do I know? Lol. Best of luck to you. -
Thank you Alex

100 lbs! Too cool! Thanks for sharing your successes as well as your tribulations msujester. Hope you get relief from your digestion issues soon. I can not imagine having to vomit so consistently. How do you have the energy to walk so far on so little food? Is there anything they can do to help you?

You may want to ask the clinic that is scoping you because I was not sedated. They just sprayed a numbing agent into my nose and did it right then. Took 5 minutes.

Wow! Lots of info, thanks! You explained the distinctions expertly. I appreciate you taking the time to help someone you don't even know. Deep respect AllthingsApple. -
Hi Mojo56,I am considering the SIPS or DS surgery. I have read a lot of posts here about foul bowel movement and gas. I see that you were also struggling with this issue. How is it now? Has this gotten any better? Do you have to be super restrictive to keep it from happening?

Thanks AllthingsApple, 105 is awesome! How long ago did you have the DS? How do you deal with gas at work around employees? Is it a daily issue? -
