I've just recently started getting fills and thought I was maybe at the right amount but decided to go and get it just .25 more....and now I'm starting to worry. This was about 2 hours ago, so please forgive my impatience, but I can't keep any liquids down. Milk is literally curdling and coming back up. Do I go back and get some out right away or do I have patience and see if this is just a fluke or maybe inflammation? Any suggestions or pointers from all would be greatly appreciated! Thanks Sent from my SM-G900V using the BariatricPal App

I did, I was back in there in the afternoon. He did have me drink water after my fill, but I didn't seem to have a problem then. He took out what he put in, so I'm back to where I was. It sounds like you have a lot of self control. Was that something you learned since your surgery or was that always something you had?? I have tried to teach myself this self control my entire life and I go through stages of it where it's strong and then it's completely gone. Right now I'm kind of in the middle of the two extremes. I'm trying to get myself under control, which is why I wanted my band tight, but it sounds like you're saying that's the wrong attitude because it will leave me eating unhealthy. So....how do you do it and even more importantly, how do you stick to it? Thank you for your help! I'll take all the guidance I can get! Sent from my SM-G900V using the BariatricPal App

I am having a very similar experience. ..I got just .25 more in about 2 hours ago and can't keep any liquids down. I'm guessing I'll end up back in there like you did. Thanks for sharing your story! It is helping me! Sent from my SM-G900V using the BariatricPal App

I just wanted to say that your words about a "soft stop" really resonated with me. I started trying to listen to my body to find it and I think for the first time, I felt it today! I'm eating soup and at first, almost every bite was coming up so I started a stopwatch. I took a small bite and chewed for 30 seconds, then swallowed, waited a full minute, then took a sip of water and waited another full minute, then started over with another small bite. At five minutes, I all of a sudden felt this feeling. ..which I can't explain, it wasn't a "full" feeling, but it was an "enough" feeling. And I didn't have those bites come back up! I'm SO excited. This is going to be really really hard to retrain my self on how to eat so slowly, but I'm excited for the challenge! So thank you for the information and giving me a tip I could actually use! It has never worked for me. Unfortunately, I lost insurance coverage so I was not able to get my band adjusted for over a year and a half. Now I've had it tightened three times over the last few months and now I think it might be where it should be. But I can't figure out if it truly is or if it's too tight or still too loose. Yesterday, I couldn't even drink Water, I think something had gotten stuck. Eventually, it moved through and I was able to drink and eat again. I'm still able to eat some things without a problem, but then I'm also very successful with other things. I just discovered this app Yesterday, so I'm excited to finally be able to chat with others who know what I'm going through. Any help and suggestions will be greatly appreciated! My surgery was on 10/18/2013

Thank you for the response and encouragement! I do have a follow question for you. How did you know your esophagus was dilated? Sent from my SM-G900V using the BariatricPal App -
I had my surgery in 2013 and it didn't work at all like I thought it would. Every person has a different experience, but I wish I would have had more people tell me theirs before I had my surgery. If you want to chat more about it, I'm definitely game. Sent from my SM-G900V using the BariatricPal App
