I get either a Passion fruit tea unsweetened and add Splenda, which is a caffeine free drink. Or I get a decaf skinny vanilla latte with almond milk and add my GENEPRO Protein powder to it for Breakfast. Sent from my STV100-1 using the BariatricPal App

I had RNY on 3/7/16 and my biggest fear was hair loss. Once I started all my Vitamins after surgery I also added Biotin. I meet my Protein goal daily, take my vitamins and get my fluids in. I still experienced hair loss from about 4 1/2 - 6 months post op, but I also have several inches of new little baby hairs now. My hair loss was minimal, I only noticed it when washing my hair. The baby hairs are a real birch when it comes to doing my hair every day...lol My hairdresser cut my hair a little shorter, not a drastic change to help until the new growth gets longer. All you can do is follow the instructions and use the tool you've been given. Honestly the small amount of hair I lost was a small price to pay for my health. Everyone gives different information about what causes the hair loss, I don't think anyone really knows. I shoot for 100 grams of protein daily, but a minimum of 60...it's usually closer to 100. I am 7 months out and have lost a total of 141 lbs, 60 was before surgery and still have about 50 to go. Sent from my STV100-1 using the BariatricPal App

Edamame and Artichokes?
Meldyer replied to newstacey's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am 12 weeks RNY post op. I had artichoke meat during soft food stage and was such a nice change. I have had again since then, half an artichoke is my limit. Sent from my STV100-1 using the BariatricPal App -
I had that with my left foot several years ago and it lasted for what seemed like forever! I suffered for a good 18-24 months with it. My doctor prescribed Motrin, which really didn't help much. I found that crocs, with the really soft footbed was the only shoes I could tolerate. It eventually went away. I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy. Sent from my STV100-1 using the BariatricPal App

Could I please tell me all the info n details I knew about phentermine cause I just started May 25th, 2016 on the 37'5mg tablets once daily. I've tried it once before but didn't really take it n stick with it, so....But if seriously get the best possible result out of it this time. So if I could help me out n inform me a lil. Sammie Nealy I didn't have any of the side effects. Not jittery or heart fluttering, just the benefits of the appetite suppressant. You need to eat a healthy diet for it to work, it's not a magical pill. Sent from my STV100-1 using the BariatricPal App

Hi Meldyer, nice to see another person in Sac here! We are the same height but my starting weight was about 50lbs more than yours. I saw on your ticker that you've lost 72lbs, congrats! How much did you have to lose before surgery and how much have you lost since? I was told to lose between 40-50lbs before surgery and ended up losing 60 before surgery. As of a few days ago Inhave lost 16lbs since surgery 3 weeks ago and really notice it the most with the inches lost.

Hiccups and vomiting 2 days post op
Meldyer replied to Protea's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
I just had my bypass done this past Monday, today is Wednesday and yesterday sounds like you! Yesterday was torture, I too was in a lot of pain from the gas and extremely nauseous. Today is much better! I too couldn't get anything down yesterday and was vomiting and coughing up a lot of phlegm...but today is definitely a new day. Make sure the nurses stay on top of it all! I took Phentermine from 1/2015 til just this last month. My dr started me on the low dose, 15mg I th ink and was on that til Nov 2015 and then changed to the 30mg. I believe 37.5 is the "normal dosage". I did not have any side effects, it worked great, I was able to lose 60lbs before WLS. I just had surgery 2 days ago.
