I'm thinking about a revision...
teedsg replied to sheetmetalgirl's topic in Revision Weight Loss Surgery Forums (NEW!)
@@sheetmetalgirl, glad your going to a different doctor. -
@@bloomie85, I was like you. I was in limbo for a while of lapband over sleeve. I decided to go with the sleeve because I didn't want to have a port and didn't know if I would feel the cord, get fills, get it adjusted, etc.

Surgery on Dec 12, 2016
teedsg replied to coletteholm's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
@@coletteholm, congratulations on your upcoming surgery. I'll be excited when I find out my surgery date. -
@@millies25412, mine was about an hour long and I filled out a form. She asked me why I wanted the surgery, do I have a support base at home, child hood history of eating, how to be successful with the weight loss, how my family or friends think about my decision, and setting realistic expectations... She recommended me to see about getting therapy for binge eating.

@@Crissy Lynne, congratulations on surviving the nurse visits, and your engagement!

Hi Paula, Thanks for posting! You have encouraged me to continue to stay away from the sweets. This time was tough since I'm actually conscious of what I'm putting in my mouth. It will be especially tough next year because I always have to cook. Maybe I'll think of something else to do for thanksgiving day.

Questions for your surgeon
teedsg replied to Tayfusion304's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
@@Tayfusion304, also, o would ask if they sew at the top opening of the stomach? Do you sew all the way down manually? Or do you use the staple tool? If you use the staple tool, do you reinforce the top and bottom of the stomach manually? You might want to watch a YouTube video of the surgery. -

How do you break the habit?
teedsg replied to JaneDarcy's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
@@JaneDarcy, one moment at a time, and you have to really, really want to do better. Then gradually start weening off of 1 thing at a time. Your health is something you can control. And then you have to know you can get past the bump in the road. Make sure you pray and get a counselor who can hold you accountable. Also, its good to find an inexpensive hobby to keep your mind focused on other things. It's hard, but it's a behavior you can change gradually. -
