I live in Canada, and alot of food you guys talk about I can't get here. My parents are going to Minot this week and I want them to look for a few things I've read about on here. So I'm asking for help about where you buy the following... Isopure Protein drinks...it seems people either love them or hate them, I'd just like to try them Alot of you talk about flavoured tuna packets?? It sounds like they're kind of a single serving thing??I love tuna and would like to try these Mr cheese o's....I think people have said you can get these at target? P3 snack packs. Thanks! So, for the first time since my surgery in January, I had to go out for supper last night. We had to go to my inlaws for a BBQ. It was the first time I was going somewhere that I wasn't in control of what food I was going to be eating. I was stressed about it all last week. My husbands family doesn't know I had WLS....and they never will....so I kept playing it out in my head what I should do. Do I put a bunch of food on my plate and just don't eat most of it? Do I say "I'm not feeling well today, that's why I didn't eat much" None of them had seen me yet this year, so they were shocked when I walked in the door, and my weight loss was the topic of the evening. This made it worse because I was sure they were going to keep an eye on what I ate. They had hamburgers and hot dogs. As soon as my FIL was done cooking them, I grabbed a burger (no bun), a slice of pickle and 2 slices of red peppers and ran out to the deck to sit with the kids. This worked out well because kids don't care what I'm eating. The adults all stayed inside. I was only able to eat half the burger and half the pickle slice, so I was very happy I didn't have to eat in front of anybody else. The whole situation just made me feel so uncomfortable. I'm sure if the family had seen what I ate, they would've thought I was starving myself, and that's why I've lost so much weight. Just wondering how others have dealt with situations like this? @ Thanks so much! It's good to know there's a GNC at the mall. I went to GNC here today to see if they had the isopure....they didn't...but they had another similar drink the guy said tastes pretty much the same as isopure. I bought a couple to see if I like them. If I do, my parents can get me the actual isopure when they go. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

@@BCs 1000 I know, it's frustrating hey? My parents usually take trips to minot a few times a year, but with the Canadian dollar being so lousy lately, they haven't gone in over a year. So I'm pretty happy they're going this week! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Ok thanks. Our Walmart where I live doesn't sell the P3's. I don't want to order this stuff online because I don't want a large quantity in case I don't like it....my stomach is very picky these days. The tuna packets...what flavours are there? Will anything help with my saggy stomach?
rydersmama posted a topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
The majority of my weight is centred around my middle, so as a result I have a pretty low, hangy stomach apron. Now that I've lost a good amount of weight, I find it's harder to keep it from "popping" out of the bottom of my panties...I'm sorry tmi...because the skin is getting looser. I would really appreciate any advise on what I could buy that would keep this darn thing under control!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
For the last 15 years or so, the only store I could shop in, in my city was Penningtons...this was the only store that went up to the size I wore. It always frustrated me that I only had that one option to get clothes as they are VERY expensive and over priced for what you get. I realize that yes, they need more material for a 5x shirt, but it's not like its high quality material or anything. I recently went to Walmart cuz I had to break down and get some new clothes, and was beyond happy that I easily fit into the plus size section there. I was blown away....a 5 pack of panties for $10??? I was paying $40 for that many panties. I bought a bra for $12.95....whaaaaa!!! Used to pay $50 for those. Tshirts for $8....same thing at penningtons would have been $30. This is the kicker...a bathing suit from Walmart $30....I've payed well over $100 at penningtons. Anyway, you guys get my point. So I basically feel like I've been ripped off and taken advantage of all these years and it pisses me off. Now that I can shop other places for clothes, I vow NEVER to set foot in penningtons again....and that makes me very happy and proud of myself Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
