Hi everyone. I went through the posts but decided to cut to the chase and ask does anyone have a vanilla whey isolate you would recommend to cook with? I have heard jay Robb is pretty good. If you have a suggestion it would be appreciated and also for 2 additional thank you points... What do I like to cook using it? Any pointers? I am finding that I have been getting a sweet tooth or sweet craving which has never been my thing but I guess it is now. Thanks in advance!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Hi! I had a crazy idea after reading this eating well article and wasting food as well. recipes and they are pretty delicious but I am not a big fan of leftovers and find I waste a lot of food. I really like trying new recipe hacks to make them bariatric friendly. I was wondering if there are others in San Francisco that may have the same issues with leftovers etc or would just be interested in trying out a food share. Not sure exactly how it would work but I thought I would check to see if there was any interest. Let me know if you are interested in exploring the concept. People who want privacy - what is or was your cover story?
goplay94123 replied to Maggie Journey's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I too am very private. I lost about 20 pounds before I went on pto for surgery and had started working out pre operation. I said (which was true) for those who asked that I had hernia and Nissen fundiplication. The fundiplication for GERD required a liquid diet as well. I also said to those that even cared that I was working with my nutritionist to eat 6 small meals a day. Since I used to only eat at night and would binge on that food at night, the small meals that are healthy are retraining my body and metabolism. I also go to the gym now that half the company goes to so they know my lazy butt is exercising as well Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -

goplay94123 replied to april2003's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Definately put the scale away for a long as u can stand it! U will For sure feel a difference in clothes fitting and sometimes the scale doesn't reflect it. It made me depressed and now that I weigh once a week I feel much better!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -

What can I do with...cauliflower?
goplay94123 replied to Inner Surfer Girl's topic in Regular foods (stage 4)
My dad makes my nephews cauliflower tater tots - I modified the recipe a bit to use a bit of non fat mozzarella as the secondary binder instead of the flour http://www.eatingwell.com/recipes/parmesan_cauliflower_tater_tots.html -
Stall and not even a month out?
goplay94123 replied to julet_licelot's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
If it makes you feel any better - I stalled like Inner Surfer Girl said around day 15 and for a good amount of time. But then magically a few weeks later when i weighed I had lost a good amount of weight and have continued to (we shall see at the next weigh in) but everyone is different and have different starting weights so weight comes off faster and slower - So as everyone said - probably best to avoid the scale if it will impact your motivation and/or mood. i know it impacted mine -
Its happening! Now! Aahhhh!

Let us know how it goes!! Congrats Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
One month out. I had sashimi Walu (white fish) with no rice. It went fine even with wasabi. I also had a spicy scallop roll hand roll but just ate the scallops in a bit of the seaweed. I have been going to happy hour and because of the small amount I eat it is super inexpensive. I probably have it 2 times a week. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Will I eat good foods again?
goplay94123 replied to breezy25's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
my experience at least (I am 7 weeks out almost) is that most of the additional spice I add has been ok - like salsa or rubs on chicken. I did have a serious issue with spicy peperoncini pepper rings the other day - but that was my fault - I had 4 later at night to quelch a pickle craving i was having and my acid reflux kicked in really badly - but other than that i have been ok with wasabi and horseradish and cocktail sauce, but i use in small amounts as flavor boosters. I made the cauliflower pizza the other day and to me it was like "real food" - I enjoyed the preparation of it and the eating - I loaded it with Protein rich topping and it was yum! -

Crab season just started in San Francisco and was on sale at the grocery store for 5 bucks a pound. I ate it with a little bit of cocktail sauce and it was delicious (I still have about 5 ounces left) after eating it 2 days in a row. I am thinking a crab omelet tomorrow Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
