I got this app to see how others my age handled the surgury and to read some success stories. Everyone is so friendly, I feel like I have joined a community. I feel obligated to introduce my self and the beginning of my journey. so, hi! My name is Jackki-Ryann and I am eighteen years old. I was a relatively thin child and didn't start gaining weight until I hit purberty. So at about twelve years old. Once I was in high school I weighed over 230lbs. I tried diet plans, I got a trainer, I did zumba, But things got expensive and nothing seemed to stay off. By the time I graduated I was at my heaviest 285lbs. I've highly considered surgury since I was sixteen. Now that I feel this is the best option for me, and i have saved up enough money. My mom is about a year post op and says she feels the exact same way. Although she feels a lot thinner she doesn't believe she is thin enough to not shop in the plus size department, even though she is about a size 10/M now. I also think she feels obligated to shop in the plus sizes because I do, and we have the same style. But I personally think that you've earned it to shop in whatever department you'd like and do not let any frets or glaring eyes stop you from getting what you want.
