The second most painful experience of my life..omg...this was bad
LSuther277 replied to CowgirlJane's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Sure hope this all ends for you soon. I'm curious: if this is the second most painful experience....what was the first? I am constantly questioning the sense behind why things happen and how. I am so grateful for living in a time that isn't the "good ole days". My list actually starts with air conditioning with #2 being painkillers. -
I have not met with a dietician yet. I'm going to whine for a minute. I'm on day three of no "white" food. Struggling a bit; I'm hungry. The food journaling helps. So far I've stayed under 900 calories per day. I have a headache. Someone said that getting to Ketosis will be easier after a few days. Struggling to drink the 90 ounces of Water. Ok, done whining. I had my Psych eval yesterday and was approved for surgery through them. Now the doctor's office can submit it to my insurance. Then I guess we wait. In the meantime, I have all of the other appointments to go to: Cardiology, Pulmonary, Endoscopy, blood work.

I'm new here. Hello to all! I just had my first consultation appointment with the surgeon on Monday and have started the high Protein, low carb eating plan. I'm really struggling with it - I feel so hungry all of the time. I'm not even absolutely sure which surgery type I am going to have. I have lots of questions so will be reading the forums a lot! I'm type 2 diabetic, not on insulin, but I do take an injectable drug called Byetta twice a day with meals. I feel like I don't know what to eat and wondered if anyone knows where I can go to get a printed diet that tells me exactly what to eat and when. I am keeping a food journal. I have all of my pre-surgery appointments scheduled but I don't know my surgery date yet. P.S. I have a headache.

I had a kidney stone about a year ago. It passed on its own. I had 3 unmedicated births and, quite frankly, I'd rather do that again instead of the stone. I'm in WA state also. I was treated at Valley Medical in Renton. I wish you good luck. -
Warning: I'm hungry and whining

The doctor gave me a list of foods that I am allowed to eat but didn't give me any guidelines on how much of those foods to eat. I'm interested in a menu that I can follow. Thanks for your explanation of Ketosis. I was just looking that up and trying to determine if it was a good thing or not. Sounds like it may be good. In that case, I can hardly wait to get there. -
