So I'm about 4 weeks out from bypass, weight has stalled a little which I understand is normal so I'm not stressing about that. But the burping during and after meals is crazy. My stomach makes all kinds of noises which I know is normal. How long does the burping and gas part last?? I take little bites of soft food, chew chew chew , it's not uncomfortable it's just 15 to 30 minutes of huge belches whenever I eat or drink. What's up? Hi everyone, I'm 9 days from bypass on 2/22/16 and have lost 16 lbs so far, my bloating is getting so much better finally and no longer look 8 months pregnant (wooo). My question is regarding quantity of food. I'm concentrating on Protein shakes and do the premier ones that are 30 grams protein, but since I'm supposed to eat only 2 ounces per meal 1 shake takes me 5 meals to get through! And then fitting 2 ounces of Water between meals...have I misunderstood the capacity constraints?? Because I can't imagine being able to get 64 ounces of water in a day plus liquid food!
