    Goal weight achieved!

I felt the same way, try taking pics every 10 lbs. It doesn't seem like a difference until you look at the pics

    Goal weight achieved!

Congratulations! I'm about 100 days out. I hit my first goal (180) at around 80-85 days after surgery currently (175) so now I'm trying to figure out a new goal weight lol
  4. I just left mine alone until they fell off. My scars look much better than the ones from my prior lap band surgery where I ripped it off right away. I wish I would have left those alone too because the old scars look much worse than just letting them heal and fall off in their own good time

Are you getting all your fluids in? I get dizzy spells because of dehydration
  6. It's hard to describe but it's almost like it's hitting my cervix and also feels tighter like a lot of pressure. Sorry I don't have a better way to describe it

Seeking Advice from other LB Vets

I had a band and had some of the same issues. My band was supposedly in place according to the scan but I had vomiting, certain days I could eat the whole house and certain days I ended up in the ER because I couldn't even get a sip of water down. It was horrible. I had pain in my chest/back/ shoulder from it. I was just revised to a sleeve in August and am down 40 lbs since surgery and am down 70 since I first saw the surgeon (i started eating better and exercising so I could be healthy before my surgery) the difference is night and day. My surgeon said I had a lot of scar tissue and I only had my band since Dec of 2013. I would hate to see what it would do to my insides in 5-10 years.

    Body firming lotion

I use nivea firming lotion mixed with Mother's Special Blend oil and also extra vitamin E oil. I just put it in my hand and rub my hands together to mix it up. I'm down 65 pounds already and no loose skin so far

    Vitamin patches

I used them the first month after surgery. It was great not to have to worry about vitamins while trying to recover and feeling like crap

    Band troubles

No problem ☺ I just stayed overnight and was home by 6pm the next day. It was laparoscopic I just had a drain which I didn't have for the band but they took the drain out before I left the hospital. My surgeon asked if I would ever recommend the band to anyone, I said "nope" he said it's a horrible horrible procedure (his own words) (I had my band done at a different surgeon in a different state)

    Band troubles

It went well. I think I had more pain than virgin sleevers but the doc said I had a lot of scar tissue (I only had the band for 3 years, I'd hate to see what decades would have done to my body) my surgeon was able to do it in one procedure thank goodness, but when he came in the next morning to see how I was doing, he said that he had another one that morning where he just couldn't do it in one shot. So I think it really depends on the situation but my advice would be to get that damn thing out of you, the sooner the better. Living in pain is not acceptable, even though we try to normalize it, it's our bodies way of saying something isn't right and we shouldn't ignore it. I felt like a failure too with the band but so far it has been night and day. I have less hunger and just physically can't eat a lot even if I wanted to. I'm already down 35 pounds. The first week I was actually more from all the fluids, then it just started dropping off. Don't get me wrong, it's not a magic wand and requires work, but it's 100× easier.

I had the same problems with the band, plus I was in constant pain from it. I was sleeved 8/8 and doing really well! It's a huge difference
