Hi all Does anyone experience any kind of reflux, particularly at night time. I'm at 8ml so fairly tight although I can still eat pretty well if I'm careful. The problem I have at night is that I seem to get a build up of saliva that ends up overflowing into my windpipe and choking me. A really horrid sensation of drowning. It isn't acid reflux as only from the top part of stomach. Really reluctant to get loosened but wondered if anyone else dealing with this. Karen

You know, it's true, you can get shoulder pain and it's pretty uncomfortable. The kind of excruciating pain you are describing sounds much more like Gallstones to me. I had them and had to have my gallbladder removed. I've been in labour and gallstones is worse!!!!! The pain can be in your side, your back or just below you breastbone. It feels like you are being stabbed with hot knives and you can't breathe. These attacks could last up to 6 hours for me and culminated in 2 trips in an ambulance. Get it checked. Easily done with an ultrasound. Good luck.

Hi For the first year and a half. I used to get infections. My surgeon thought they were yeast infections. I also think that I used to sometimes scratch or graze something after a fill and then this would get incredibly sore and I would get chills etc from a suspected infection. Was like eating razor blades during this time. Only get this occasionally now but I am much more careful after a fill. I did have a course of anti biotics once when they suspected I had a yeast infection. Worth you getting this checked though.

Hi everyone. I'm new here too. Had my surgery October 2006. It took a long, long time and lots of adjustments before I had any restriction at all. I would say that it only really started working June/July 2007. I have since lost 46.5 Ibs. Slow I know but still happy with the results. Have been quite poorly on and off with it. Had a couple of yeast infections in my gullet which cause immense pain. Feel I am getting back on track now though. My question is, does anyone suffer sever night time reflux after an adjustment. I get it terribly all through the night (I wake up choking and struggling to breathe:confused_smile: at least 9 or 10 times). This lasts for a good couple of months after. I know it is not due to eating or drinking as I don't have a thing after 5.30 pm at these times, not even water. It almost feels like it is just saliva refluxing, nevertheless, it is extremely uncomfortable. Any advice?
