i hear ya...i remember when i moved 2 sizes down...my mom kept telling me to stop buying so much since I was going to keep losing...i didn't listen to her and now i am upset that some clothes are too big...never in a million years did i think i would've had that problem. I went from a size 18/20 to 8/10. Congrats1 -
Hi, I just celebrated...yes celebrated my 1st year anniversary since my band. I have lost a total of 66 pounds....i started at 227 pounds. I feel great and I feel beautiful...i love the compliments...my life has completely changed. I have had 2 fills and up until a week ago, I used to throw up at least 3 times a week. but it stopped bothering me. Once in a blue moon it was unbearable. Here's my concern: for the past 5 months, i have been eating everything! yes everything. I drink soda, i eat ice cream...a scoop each time, sometimes every day for a week, i have a small piece of chocolate every dayl, i eat chips...the only thing is i eat them in a much smaller portion...Last night i had two slices of pizza. I don't normally feel guilty, i am actually really happy that i am living a normal life i guess. But i want to lose another 25 pounds...am i being unrealistic? does the weight loss stop? BY they way, i go to the gym at least 3 times a week. THanks for all advice

bibo07 replied to *Love*'s topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My dr didn't say anything about carbonated drinks...i haven't had any since i was banded in March. I used to have 3 diet cokes a day. -

Thanks everyone again. Smoothshell- wow...you have lost soooo much. That's wonderful. I had Soup for dinner last...wonderful. i had one piece of bread with it and i had to run to the bathroom but i was fine. See for the past few days any time i felt like something was stuck i would stick a finger in and throw up. After my soup last night, i had a little piece of veal and mashed potato and it was just fine. Today i had a toast with cheese and threw up again but without helping it. I spoke to my doctor and he told me to have soup before every meal and not to intitate throwing up...although i didn't think i was intitating....just helping. He said no unfill. I will stick to liquids and mushies for a few days!!!!

Thanks everyone for all your responses. Its weird I am only getting sick lunch time and not dinner...I have a confession- I am not having breakfast. I am waking up at like 10:30ish (since I am off work) and then i am having lunch at 1ish. I will try going easy for a few days. I am drinking just fine though so should i not worry. I don't want to go see my dr yet...i don't want to get an unfill because i am the maid of honor at my brother's wedding in 3 months and want to lose quickly until then.

Hi everyone. I just got my second fill 3 days ago. I've thrown up everyday so far...not so much. But at least for a second. Yesterday my lunch was completely out but dinner was great. Today I was at a restaurant for lunch and had to go throw up every 10 minutes...which was how often i took a bite...I was ready about band slipping etcs...please advise...is this normal or should i worry. I drink water just fine!! I can't go through this surgery again!

i have a realize band too, he said it was 10 cc. My doctor said he put 5 the first fill and 2 yesterday. But he said i have a total of 6 (somehow someway the one disappears don't know how?) I was scared all day today to eat but hopefully i will get back to normal tomorrow. how much more will he fill it? He said next month will depend on how much i lose this month.

any suggestions on how you lost so much!!!???
-
Boo boo Kitty...wow great results! he told me i could an hour after fill. Weird. I am soooo scared that I will mess up something, he freaked me out about the second fill. Was it different after the second fill?
-
salsa...wow....you results are wow....I hope i have great results like yours. A size 4 would be a dream come true. I don't live that far from the doctor, so I don't know, but he's a professor during the day and he practices from 5pm to 9 pm. Maybe that's why? I drank an hour later today and was fine. I am just scared!

Hey everyone thank you for your quick replies. I am living overseas temporarily in the Middle East and he is number one here and is Board certified. The reason he said he gave the needle to my husband is to keep it with us in case of emergencies to take it to the ER with us. Under no circumstances would i allow my husband to give me the shot. LOL. What i am worried about is should i worry that a problem will occur because of my second fill. And no water for two hours???

Hi everyone. I was banded on March 6th and had my first fill on the 6th of April. I didn't even feel a pinch. I was so happy since I was soooo nervous. I was supposed to get my second fill on the 6th of May but i was out of town so I just got it yesterday. Okay first of all i felt it a little bit and it took longer (dont' know why?) Since my first fill i had food get stuck like 5/6 times. Nothing that i couldn't handle. The hardest part was not drinking with food and waiting 30 minutes after eating. BUT yesterday he told me I HAVE TO WAIT 2 HOURS AFTER I EAT OR ELSE I WILL THROW UP. That doesn't sound right? anyone advice please? also i am afraid to eat because he gave my husband an extra needle in case i need an unfill. Why? should i worry? please advise!!!!!!!
