    my hands feel so much better post surgery, I have decided to attempt (once AGAIN) to learn the piano this summer.

      why not indeed? I have played an oboe before - in high school and enjoyed it very much. I have always wanted to try french horn. if I ever come across one in a yard sale or something I think I will try that too. Hey, I live in music city, I could very well come across one!

      I think I still have a French horn in the attic. At one time I owned most of the smaller brasses. Can you ball your right hand into a cupped fist? Yes? Then, you're all set to play the French horn. :) Only three valves to worry about. I love the haunting sound of the French horn.---like a foggy English meadow.
