we do pulled turkey or pulled chicken in the crock pot quite often, it has been an easy thing for me to manage. very moist. Tomorrow we are firing up the grill and having some of the grown kids over, really looking forward to it. the weather has been absolutely perfect this weekend.

"I didn't recognize you"

comments can be annoying, but the changes are real. There are some people when I see the before and after and I would not have known it was the same person. -

I just Google 'The Hollow Crown'..
I'd watch all but the one with Benedict Cumberbatch in it...
I just can't watch the bloke...

he does not a big part. you could just fast forward through that part. it's an excellent series. :-) what's your favorite play? I think I like 'Much Ado about Nothing' the best but I recently saw a version of 'The Taming of the Shrew' which caught attention and enjoyed it a lot.

Are guys actually checking me out at the gym?

bahahahaha and bossy............. -
I think perhaps you need a version with more scenery at the top and more cropped at the bottom to center you in the bubble better. Do you have a less cropped version on your computer to play around with?

some things reheat well and others less so. It is always worth trying and see how you like it. I haven't run into anything that I didn't like as well after it's thawed out. If I am having a lunch or dinner that was in the freezer I try to take it out the night before and put it in the fridge.

me too! and I love to see pictures of everyone else's food. Tonight we made a tex mex meat blend. The family made nachos, I had my nachos without chips. I will make about 12 burritos with the leftover meat/beans for my husband and freeze all but 3 for his future lunches. me too! and I love to see pictures of everyone else's food. this weekend I will cook up a bunch of ground sirloin and ground turkey together with garlic, salt and pepper. this will make a number of fast easy lunch/dinners. I will crock pot about 6 chicken breasts with seasoning too. Then, I will prep my lunches for the week and stack em up in the veggie drawer of the fridge so the 21 yr old boy wont find them. :-D I love to cook - but getting some of this labor out of the way means I can easily have something different ready during the week in way less than 30 minutes.

isn't it wonderful that you have caught this at 35 pounds rather than 100? You've got good advice here, you can do it! -
I thought this was diet related, extreme way to end overeating. :-D

Dealing with toddler post opp
Christinamo7 replied to Brenda Sherwood's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
well. she will probably get good at climbing - so that you will be having her climb up on a couch for changing or cuddling. look, it's not ideal. but I had 4 children at home under age 8 when I had a c section and I was left at home with all of them, and it was ok. you get through it somehow. I couldn't lift then either. You will need to prepare as many meals ahead and do the grocery shopping for two full weeks BEFORE surgery. you will not want to be up and down. If needed pack a cooler of Snacks to keep by the sofa or wherever you are nesting to minimize trips for snacks. Have diapers, wipes and a trash handy where you nest also. truth be told I felt pretty good after surgery and if you have no complications you will too. the hardest part will be eating liquids while feeding her good food. you can do it. the good news is two months from surgery she can expect to have a healthier, happier mama with way more energy to interact with her. the c section was a LOT harder for me than this surgery. Mom's are tough, you can do this! -

When do you tell someone new you're dating you've had WLS?
Christinamo7 replied to gpmed's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I would think it would not be right away - but if you are serious about someone, intimate - considering a life together I would think any kind of past medical history is just naturally something you are going to talk about. If I were to loose my love (God forbid) and consider marriage again I might want to warn the fella that I look like an elephant when naked, lol. -

most people say once your closet is full then for everything you bring in something goes out. Personally I would go through the closet seasonally, get rid of what you no longer love and see what you need/want to add. -
Vsg after laparoscopic hysterectomy
Christinamo7 replied to Jayhawkfan74's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I do not. because these things are in completely different areas. Because I have an ongoing lymph node issue in my abdomen my surgeon took a look at the lymph nodes and "vaginal stub" before he went on with the sleeve. maybe I had a slight amount more soreness from his look around, and it added a half hour or so to my surgery but was very worth the peace of mind because he felt everything looked great. I wouldn't worry about it. -

Vsg after laparoscopic hysterectomy
Christinamo7 replied to Jayhawkfan74's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
as long as your surgeon knows then it is fine. I had a hysterectomy last August and my sleeve in February, but the delay was due to something else. I know someone who is having both done at the same time. I am not sure which surgery was my favorite, they are both life changing in so many positive ways!
