    Slow Motion After Stall

@@Dub I think it is going to be your job to remind us to be smart and avoid injuries now. I appreciate all the helpful advice you post to the board. You and some of the other guys have me seriously considering joining a gym.

    Slow Motion After Stall

I don't know what your beginning weight was but for me, my doctor said 8-10 pounds a month would be more normal at this point. so unless you are super heavy 5 pounds a week would be stretching it. other than that you've gotten good advice here - try to enjoy the ride!

    Embrace the Stall

well, only if it is a truly impressive BM! but I've struggled with constipation so I wanna know how big the baby is! but I don't *normally* do that.

    Ignorance, Senility, or NSV?

right now I have two pair of shoes in rotation - my goal is to walk 100 miles a month - so after about 6 months I will need new ones. watching for a sale on good shoes now because I hope to have my replacements all lined up before I need them. Good shoes make all the difference!

    Sick

whenever I get sick from a virus I make sure I am having my probiotic and she needs to be very focused on drinking even if it is sips all day long. play around with temperatures if she is nauseated due to sometimes warm feels better, sometimes cold. and this is probably an issue for a primary care doctor, so if you feel she is not staying hydrated she should go to her PCP or else a quick clinic to be seen for follow up care. I like the Vitamin Water zero as she would have some Vitamins too but poweraid zero would help with the potassium level.

    Confused about protein

the trainer is not going to be as much of an expert on bariatric patients. I would take the advice they give you and run it past your team to see what they think, and try to come up with a good plan for you. Also, I would weigh portions for a while and track your exercise. Ask your team what the aim for a calorie deficit should be. I hope you can loose the last 20 but wow! loosing 100? You're already a smashing success.

    Did you loose friends?

I have not personally - but I am still in early days. I don't really expect to, as many of my friends loved me when I was thin, loved and were concerned through the years of obesity and why would they not be friends now? We're all old now anyway and not trying to be anything we're not. I have made a bunch of new friends who I value very highly and hope to make even more!

    Gym

Without a doubt. This will make numba four in that area. My abs are full of suck and weakness it would seem. They simply couldn't stand up to the awesomeness of the spectacular beer gut I'd built....one stein at a time. I swear.......if I can ever get a properly healed abdomen then I will do yoga and other core work to tighten up the house that Budweiser built. Abs of steel? Probably never have those. At least I can abs of tin. Tin like the underpinning you see on mobile homes.........but only in the upscale local trailer parks. Abs of tin. My goal. You win for the most amusing post of the day. I love your attitude! If I can recover from giving birth to so many kids, you can do this too! even if we never make it to abs of steel! The human body has an awe inspiring ability to heal, doesn't it? I look forward to hearing your progress.

    Protein bars

I will have to look for the Protein powder, I just use unjury, which I do like. but it's always good to find something new to try.

    Protein bars

I bought a vanilla creme one this week, but I probably won't try it until I eat all the chocolate ones - I will let you know how it is. I also have a Cookies and cream one, unless the man has scarfed it down. let me know how the PB and mint ones are if you try them.

I'm sleeved, and I dump. Yup it's true!

I have not seen people saying that you can't just that it is less likely with the sleeve. which I think would still prove to be true. I don't know if it is a good thing (to help you make changes) or a bad thing (for obvious reasons) but we should all be here to support one another on our journey to better health.

    Gym

I was restricted to walking only for four weeks, and then my restrictions were lifted. Your team should give you guidelines on what is appropriate for your situation.

*wild applause* what great success! very encouraging to see, so I thank you for posting.

    Am I crazy?

some people who have trouble with liquids have more swelling in their stomach. my swelling went down quickly and that makes it so much easier in those early days.
  22. Christinamo7

    Protein, Protein, Protein

Allow me to disagree. You can't expect somebody who's just had surgery to have 80-100gr a Protein daily. That's just not possible. I am three days out and my new stomac can't handle more than 3 table spoons of yogurt at a time if not less. We all do it at our own pase, as are all different. Weight loss is not a race and we all do it differently. I was not speaking of the newly sleeved............. I think we are probably more in agreement than not.
  23. *wild applause* congrats!
