    Stomach stretching

@@sanjumelts stick around. I think over time you will see others posts which are kinda the same in tone and you will also get kind of tired of the same round of questions all the time - there are people who when I first came here I thought "how rude" and then as time has gone on, I find my self thinking "wait until so and so sees this one" again, my mind isn't made up about your post per say, but it is eerily similar to some of those. my hope would be that if you were being genuine you will respond to those future posters with more grace and humility rather than impatience rudeness. because one thing you can count on, they're coming. and as you go forward with good days and bad days, and have hormone induced posts yourself, have the grace to think other people might also have good days, bad days and hormone induced posts. I also think while initially people responded to your specific question, as with many threads, as it went on the comments become more general in nature and not specifically targeted at you. and lets face it, active or not, you needed the WLS, so while your plan may be a little different, not substantially. Activity alone is not the answer, dietary changes are needed. my plan allows some carbs, but whole grain, and not so much. that would have pretty much blown my carb allowance by it's self. one of our biggest challenges is to not allow ourselves to eat around our surgeries. Hopefully we will all continue to learn from those further down the road, and have something to offer to those who follow behind us. because that is the whole point of this site.

    Six Month Stall, anyone?

this is something I often wonder about - quite a lot actually. what I do is walk walk walk. and pilates/yoga. I have seen the very most change in my legs, hips and belly - coincidence? somehow I don't think so. the walking certainly targets the legs/hips and the yoga/pilates sure targets the core..... learning some new pilates moves to work on my arms. I hate working on my arms, dunno why. but gonna do it anyway.

    How to start again?

@@OKCPirate I just recently saw some scenic videos of running or hiking paths around the world - and I think when it gets too hot for me to walk outside (July/August here) I am going to pick a few of these up to make the treadmill more tolerable. if that fails me it will have to be a video somehow, I don't think I can walk for exercise and read at the same time. you are way more coordinated than I am, apparently!
  6. so tired of dealing with adults who act like children.

in my case, y'all are not the issue! it's people here. in Nashville. acting like morons. and they are IN CHARGE. this was just a safe place to say out loud what I can't say out loud. because I don't want to get fired today. well. maybe I do. but I shouldn't. that would be - well, it would feel good, but be totally inappropriate, and irresponsible. ;-)

    Cold!

for me it was about six weeks. I always used to be the hot sweaty mess all the time, now I am pretty much normal. not hot, not cold. if your labs are good, this should even out.

    Stress-induced Weight Loss

@@Babbs I hope you get the answers. one thing I know in a long term relationship - there are ups and downs. I am not the same woman my husband married 19 years ago. he is not the same either. growing old SUCKS. We also go through good times and bad times. so it could be connected, could be not. You'll see me get a little nervous - and I think perhaps my weight loss may possibly stall a bit when I get south of 180, because he has never liked 'little' women. and subconsciously I think that may cause me to falter, that will be smaller than he has ever known me. trying to look that beast in the EYE now, in hopes of taking the wind out of it's sails. and of course, in part it will depend on how the man acts when I get to that place. wishing you the very best. and I hope you can find a manner of exercise that allows you to vent some of the stress.

I disagree with the part where you say "all they wanted was an answer" MOST of these types of questions they do not want just an answer they want a certain answer. and get rude if anyone gives them any other answer. I am undecided if this is the case with the OP in this particular thread. I would say the vast majority of the time posts like this only want justification -

    How to start again?

whenever I have fallen off the exercise bandwagon, I usually have to lie to myself to get started again ie/ you only have to do it for 15 minutes or lets just do 3 days a week. usually within the month I am back at it full steam because it just makes you feel so much better overall.

    New in the group

welcome.... in terms of pain following the surgery it's one of the easiest surgeries I've had. I did have a nerve block, if they offer it to you I strongly recommend it. otherwise they will give you pain meds. if your meds don't work great for you ask them to try something else. your pain following surgery should be manageable.

    Stomach stretching

seems a bit much and too soon to me. I don't eat to feel "full" I eat to meet my goals and to not feel hungry. there is a difference and our long term success probably depends on this one fact. I tend to eat every 3 hours or so - so provided all that bread is in your plans - and how many carbs are in a 6 inch flatbread anyway? I honestly have no idea. perhaps it would have been better to wrap up the other part for later or the next day.

    Need advice about getting energy

have you ever had surgery before? your only job right now is to rest and heal. slow walking. slow sex. if you don't allow your body to recover you will be exhausted for a very long time to come.
  18. any time you start something new it's like that - you'll get there!
  19. my plan had activity restricted for four weeks after surgery other than walking.

    Partner's opinions on loose skin?

*everyone* I think is scared when they are getting ready for surgery, I hope that helps. I was! and in terms of attractiveness my husband has NEVER dated small women. all of his former girlfriends I would say were voluptuous. overweight by not obese. and right now I am just about 15 pounds from being at the perfect weight as far as attractiveness for him. but I plan and will get smaller. However, I've lost quite a bit of weight and we did just fine when I was heavy and somehow we will do just fine when I am smaller. Hopefully he will find out normal size women can be sexy too but I'll let y'all know.

    Partner's opinions on loose skin?

so far "Saint David" as I like to call him has found me attractive at any weight, and before when I was expecting - he is in love with me. as I hope your man is with you. Healthy is sexy, and I hope that if you have loose skin that being healthy will make things better for both of you including this aspect of your relationship. However, I did make him promise that if I sit on or step on my nipples we would find the money for getting them put back where they belong, even if it means taking out a loan. the truth is he was more worried about me dying from a condition that could have been prevented than he was about my skin, after all - he plans to still be with me when I am 80 - and I haven't seen many 80 year olds I expect would look good naked.

No lie....I would kill for salad

for what it's worth I love balsamic vinegar on chicken breast chunks or steak chunks. not sure if those are allowed for you or not yet. also I love to roll up a little lunch meat with cheese and raw spinach, so when that is allowed it may be a high Protein thing that will scratch this itch for ya. you could even dip it into a little reduced calorie or else measured out dressing.
