I am now 6 days post-op. My first and second day after surgery were the worst! I was in immediate pain when I woke up. They were gas pains and mine lasted all day. They were worse than labor pains my opinion at least those came and left for me and it could be pain free if you recieve epidural. But these gas pains were no joke! I was on pain killers and it still didn't ease the pain much. The doctors said to just walk it out theres really not much and gas-x. I had no problem with walking just a couple hours after surgery and it helped. The 3rd and so fourth days are better. I'm in no pain and I had no problem with Water consumption. I'm having a hard time sticking to the clear liquid diet. I'm on it for 6 weeks starting March 1st and I can't stick to it consistently without cheating. Trust me I want to but then I end up messing up. Its depressing and upsetting. I have 4 small kids ranging from 5 to 10 months old. I'm not sure if its just mommy stress and other personal stress but I just can't seem to stick to it. Surgery date is 4/14/16. Any tips out there? Help. For my 6 month supervised diet, I lost weight and then gained it all back within the last 2 months so suegeon says to me to just go all liquid diet til I see him on the 4th of April and then 2 weeks from that visit I assume lll be on the all liquid clear diet since my surgery is exactly 10 days from then.
