Vitamin Patches from Bariatric Pal question

I wear 4 different ones at the same time. If you buy your Patches here at the bariatricpal store, you get a discount for first time purchase I believe as well as a discount if you sign up for auto-ship.

Vitamin Patches from Bariatric Pal question

I had my 3 month labs done end of last month, all results were normal except cholesterol which surprises me as it went up a little since surgery and I'm down quite a bit of weight since my last labs. I'm using the following Patches daily: Multi-Vitamin Vitamin D3 B12 Energy Plus Omega 3
  3. I had the sleeve with him on 6/23/16, you're in excellent hands. You can search for bariatric surgeries on FB. Those of us who've had surgery with him post there too. He and Sandra are active on the page, you just have to tag them if you have a question directly for them. Good luck!

    Eating salads

I don't know about any pointers but I'm 3 months out and have been eating salads since week 4. I try to go with the darker green lettuce (not iceburg) and have now switched to just spinach when I do feel like a salad. More nutrients in it. Good luck!!

Being a trainer doesn't make you an expert on...

I joined Chuze Fitness since they opened a gym not to far from me. I made sure before I joined that their trainers are actually nationally certified and not just some version they made up. They are, thank goodness!

Being a trainer doesn't make you an expert on...

I joined Planet Fitness and sat down with the "personal trainer" there. I started off telling him that I've had the sleeve done and just need to know the following things so I don't end up passed out on their floor: Weights Reps Sets As long as I'm given a routine to do with that information, I can do it. After explaining what the surgery is and how I have to eat now he gasped and told me I HAVE to have carbs! (Had told him Protein first then if I have the room veggies and fruits). I explained this is the diet given to me by my surgical team and that's how I'll eat. He proceeds to tell me I need to go to some government website about nutrition to find out how I should be eating and how many calories. I looked at him and asked "Did you not just hear what I said?" He shrugged his shoulders and told me that maybe I'd find some other ideas. When it came to the exercise portion he wrote down what muscle group I should be working on each day. For Tuesday it was Legs/Bottom (I'll get to this in a minute). He then proceeds to tell me I need to go to a body building website, choose the muscle group I was going to be working out that day and choose 3 videos to watch so I can learn how to do the exercises when I come in. When I asked what bottom meant on leg day he said "You know, like your calves...the bottom of your legs." I asked "Um, wouldn't that just be, you know, legs?" I had to tell this guy he didn't know what he was doing and for someone like me that has above average knowledge of this stuff compared to someone else walking in off the street he was going to have someone seriously hurting themselves on his hands. I've moved to another gym and will be starting soon.

Peas ARE evil! They've made me gag since I was little. I figured when I became an adult and our palates can change that maybe I'd like them now. Nope. Still gross.

No, but I love my LGBT friends MUCHO! MUCHO? What does that acronym stand for? My useless cat hates oreos. What about bananas? Same carbs.

    Eating or Drinking Your Nutrients?

I'm 11 weeks out from sleeve surgery and still drink at least one Premier Protein shake (usually in the morning). So far I appear to be one of the lucky ones that has tolerated all foods I've tried. The problem I have is that I'll weigh out food for the day and find I can't finish it so there is no way for me to recalculate what I've truly eaten as far as protein. This frustrates me to no end. If my intake seems questionable then I add a 2nd Premier Protein shake. My surgeon's guidelines was 40-60g of protein for women. I find this to be too little for me but if I have to drink 2 shakes then I know I've at least hit his guidelines.

They're working for me. I've been using them since March (pre-op). I've only had Vitamin d tested and Mr numbers went up significantly. Will be having my 3 month testing done this month for everything. Sent from my ZTE A2017U using the BariatricPal App

    Vitamin patch

I use them. Multi-Vitamin, B, D and Omega 3. I started taking them about 3 months pre-op so I've only had Vitamin D tested. I went from dangerously low to normal range. I'm very happy with them so far. Sent from my ZTE A2017U using the BariatricPal App

For those who had surgery in Mexico...

I went by myself. I didn't want to have to worry about someone else's boredom on top of my own healing. You meet other women/men having these procedures too so you won't be bored and usually the staff in Mexico are beyond amazing. Sent from my ZTE A2017U using the BariatricPal App

I was a slow loser. Fifteen pounds during the first month, eleven the second. But I'm fast closing in on 200 lbs lost, though (199.4, to be exact..)

Amen! I'm a slow loser too. Seems like there have been a lot of obstacles to exercising in the manner suggested but I am trekking along. I lost 32 lbs in the first two months and I am convinced I could not have done it on my own. The old me would have grown weary and stopped trying after the first four weeks.
