    Am I done?

(( I was sleeved 9/22/2015 )) Our bodies need time to adjust to the new weight. It doesn't keep a schedule. I needs to be 'Nudged'( or kicked) in the right direction and takes its own sweet time. Try changing up your workouts. You can't keep doing the same thing and keep getting results. Do more each session, change the cardio exercise for a while, Spreading cardio out is just as good as doing all at one time. Get some kettle bells, or dumbells. Weight training burns more fat than cardio overall. Google Hiit training. Perfect if your time is limited. *****And 15-20 min sessions 3x week,--> correctly done<-- gets more results than 1hour normal cardio 5x/week***** You might be having too little calories someX, I get my cardio from stair master, elliptical, and treadmill or hitting the pavement. I do combinations of those and its never the same. But I always do 45+ minutes Sent from my XT907 using the BariatricPal App
  2. *What brought you to the point of starting this program..? * though your BMI is down. ((Awesome job btw)), will it stay down or do you have a history of the weight rebounding back? Nothing we do is is a sure thing, even the sleeve. But ,IMO, the sleeve is a permanent tool you'll always have at your disposal and if you need to lose some, going back to the basics will get you results But ultimately you need to decide for yourself, just be honest and ask yourself the right questions. 4. I was like you guys ...'wtf where's my restriction !! ' But I learned better. Some people comment on how they get totally stuffed on 2-3 ounces, (even well beyond my 6 months post-op).....must be nice. I swear I could eat 7-8 oz chicken Took me 4 months to realize I needed to look at it different than them. I Don't look for the "Feeling" of restriction any more, by the time I feel it, its too late. I ate/drank too much. Do that too often and you'll get yourself all worked up about whether you stretched your pouch or not.....**don't go their, its an overrated worry people get all worked up about unnecessarily*** I needed to learn to slow down my meals. Pause a couple minutes between my bites and give that ....Slow.. satisfied ....cue.... to reach my brain. I was chasing the wrong sensation.... Relax.., slow down and relearn how to listen to your stomach's and enjoy the ride Don't overly count on feeling restriction to win this. Its not a sure thing for some of us. Purée Diet - I'm so lost

Cottage cheese has lots of protein! Hummus, Soups, mashed sweet potatoes, avocado, Greek yogurt ricotta cheese. eggs yummy over easy here, boiled scrambled. Now pureed fish (white fish) and chicken. I'll be perfectly honest. I didn't puree those, but I chewed them very well. Now getting creative with your meals keeps it more tolerable and interesting. But I will always have my Breakfast Protein shake Sent from my XT907 using the BariatricPal App

  12. Minimum Protein 70 grams....get a second opinion. 40 makes absolutely NO sence. Now. Had surgery. September 22 2015. By DEC 25th I was 229. So like a moron I slacked off being diligent on what I ate. Yea I had Xmas chocolates, canned energy drinks, had sugar in Cheerios and coffee, some bread, Pasta basicly stuff I had no business having in my house nor eating. Feb 3 I weighed 253!!!!! Yea you can gain if you eat crap. I wasn't logging what I ate. So I downloaded MyFitnessPal. And over the month of February my scale didn't move. Wasn't getting enough Water, Vitamins and protein and my carbs were still to high. I was eating too much Peanut Butter. Tracking protein and carbs......its extremely enlightening how much sugar and carbs are in some things. Fruit sugar was killing me, love apples bananas an oranges.... Now I went back to basics. I drink 2 protien shakes breakfast/ lunch and grilled chicken breast with lime an Cajun spices. 4ounces = 30 grams. Body fortress each scoop 30 grams. I'm exercising 5x at gym/ week. weights and cardio(1 hour cardio)and walk 3 miles, extra cardio , with dog up mountain road. Remember Muscle weighs more than fat too Sent from my XT907 using the BariatricPal App
  13. I know many who drink up until they not sure why. AFTER you eat is a really really bad idea. As your first commandment is Protein first. The longer in your belly the better. Keeps you full longer helping you not getting hungry. But I also know many who will take a few 'sips' while eating. But to reiterate...don't drink after Sent from my XT907 using the BariatricPal App
  14. Oh yea...popsicles, Jello, flavored drinks like crystal light, green tea, broths, Soups, Gatorade go down easily.
