    Alcohol, parties, fun?

I'm glad I'm not alone in this. This surgery was an entire lifestyle change and I'm not wrong to in some ways feel left out or out of the loop. Its a big adjustment. Sent from my SM-G530T using the BariatricPal App
  2. That's not something you should be proud of. Obese people have enough embarrassment and discrimination as it is. Sent from my SM-G530T using the BariatricPal App
  3. So much negativity on this site. I think I'll just use Google from now on Sent from my SM-G530T using the BariatricPal App

  5. I went back to work the second week after surgery. Left early a few times so in my opinion it was too soon. Still haven't gone back to my gym routine. 5 weeks out now. Waiting until my one month follow up next week Sent from my SM-G530T using the BariatricPal App

    Gas!

I am 5 weeks post op gastric sleeve and have so much gas. I am not drinking through straws or having carbonated drinks so not sure why. I have tried gas x already. It hapoens mostly later in the day or early morning. It's starting to worry me. I don't want this to be permanent. Anyone else with this problem. Sent from my SM-G530T using the BariatricPal App
  7. I have been drinking Bariatric fusion but want to try something else. Where do you buy the premier protein shakes Sent from my SM-G530T using the BariatricPal App
  8. Isopure is disgusting but it's really all u can think of. I have a Protein shake in the morning. One scoop of one brand is 15 g and two scoops of Bariatric fusion is 27 g a bottle of isopure is 40 g and I sip it all day. It takes the whole work day to finish it. Then there's eggs usually scrambled, cheese, I put unflavored bariatric fusion powder in my mashed potatoes and Soup. I like fish so I had broiled fish the other day. Hope this helps. I was never a big meat eater so looks like isopure is here to stay. Sent from my SM-G530T using the BariatricPal App
  9. I had a hiatal hernia which made it hard to swallow so I wasn't able to have much at all. I'm week 5 right now and have had broiled fish and I tried one bite of Pasta yesterday. I just missed the taste so much. But it didn't take much to feel full from it. Now I don't crave it. Not sure if that's what you mean by solid. Sent from my SM-G530T using the BariatricPal App
  10. I am also finding it hard to swallow. 5 weeks out now. Looks like a spoonful of Peanut Butter and some Isopure for dinner. Sent from my SM-G530T using the BariatricPal App

Help! I think I eat too much.

I feel the same way. I know my stomach is smaller and I feel full but I sometimes still think I can eat the way I used to. Which often leads to vomiting. I've been tracking my food on loseit.com and staying under 1,000 calories a day. It calculates how much Protein you get in a day too. I am bad with measuring. Alcohol, parties, fun?

I appreciate your answer. I know this is a lifestyle change. I just don't think I can completely give up that fun part of myself. Thank you for sharing. I'm gonna wait a couple more months and try it. I don't plan on drinking a lot. But I would be lying if if said I didn't miss it. Good to know you didn't gain. How much have you lost? Alcohol, parties, fun?

My doctor recommend I wait 6 months. I don't think I will make it that long. But 4 seems like a realistic goal Sent from my SM-G530T using the BariatricPal App I'm thinking maybe in July I'll Celebrate with a birthday drink. Thanks for the advice Sent from my SM-G530T using the BariatricPal App

    Alcohol, parties, fun?

Thanks everyone. It helps to know that eventually I might be able to enjoy some wine now and then. Sent from my SM-G530T using the BariatricPal App Very good point. Sent from my SM-G530T using the BariatricPal App
  15. For me so far, the hardest part of this journey is not being able to drink. I did a 2 week pre op diet where alcohol was not allowed and am 3 weeks out now. So it's been almost 2 months since I last drank. I never considered myself a big drinker but could always handle a lot ( probably due to my weight). I'm 25 and have a lot of friends who still go to bars on weekends. I am starting to feel I'm losing touch with my social life because I'm not able to do those things yet. How long did everyone wait before trying a drink? Did you get sick? Sent from my SM-G530T using the BariatricPal App
