My Bariatric PA just told me about mixing premier protein vanilla with cool brew coffee with a bit of sugar free flavoring and I have to say. I'm a coffee snob and this tastes awesome. PLUS YOU GET YOUR 30 gms of protein! WIN WIN!

I'm 1 year out and have lost 97 lbs since surgery and 127 lbs total. Highest weight was 320 and I'm now at 197. My doc says only 20-25 more lbs will be enough for me. I had the revision to RouxNY -
Y'all that is awesome!! Many more to come!!!

How's everyone doing??? Almost a month out and down 27 lbs. I'll take that! Still a bit weak, wishing I had taken 6 weeks instead of 4. ???? but all in all I feel pretty darn good!

Update....the large thing on my tummy beside my incision turned out to be a seroma...it should absorb slowly but if it's still there in 2 months at my next appt, we're gonna drain it. Happy it wasn't something serious. [emoji12]

No symptoms at all other than its irritating to bend. I'm hoping that's all it is. I was a revision vbg to RNY so doc told me since it was a more complicated surgery he would have to do an open.

I'm over 3 weeks out and so far so good...on pureed/soft and so far have not had any instances of food getting stuck. I just do not want anything. To me, everything has no taste. At surgery I was at 295 and am down to 271. I do not get that full feeling either, which worries me, but I'm like you in thinking that when I start regular food, I'll have that. My issue to date is a large lump about 5 inches long and 2 inches wide along my midline incision. (I had an open procedure). Last visit Dr thought it was a fluid pocket, but it hasn't gone down, and is very hard. It's been there since day one. I'm going to doc Monday and am gonna be needing some answers! Anyone else experienced this?

So sorry to hear that!!! Keep us updated!!

I also have had the stall...one day weighing one thing only to gain a pound the next. WTH? Existing on eggs and cheese in the am and mock lasagna (no pasta or meat) or mashed pinto mostly. Maybe I'm not getting enough calories in or something and going into starvation mode. Not sure. Today have had some left side pain which I'm feeling may be the dreaded gas .....uggggg. hang in there subbie gal and pammie..I think we're all.on track...and what we're all feeling is normal. I'm 2.5 weeks out of an open procedure subbie and I'm sleeping on my sides....my Doc is perfectly fine with it.

I feel you on the gas! Thought I was lactose intolerant there for the longest, but I got PASSED that...pun intended[emoji12] with the help of Gas-X strips. Those things are the bomb diggity.

Oh no!!! Sorry about that!! Keep us updated on how you're coming along. I've not been that adventurous yet, But I'm only 2 weeks out. Pureed for me for a little while longer.

It's been a few days....how is everyone doing??????

I have drank milk all my life and have been drinking the premiere protein for 3 months. I'm finding it suddenly after surgery giving me horrible gas pain. WTH? Lol
-
I had the same thing, but 1 week out and I'm back down pre surgery. I think it's all the fluids they pump into you and also the swelling. I still have alot of swelling in my abdomen. Back sleeping sucks! But I can say that last night I was able to sleep a little while on my side. Hang in there. We got this!

I wasn't offered one, and honestly, today is 16 days post op, and I'm beginning to feel all normal in the belly area. I had that 'pull' for a long time, and even a day or two ago it was there... I realized this afternoon that it's really improved a lot!Omg I can't wait for that day!!!!

Oh no! Hate to hear that. You cN buy them on amazon. Just search abdominal binders. Hope you feel better!

How are you doing with your revisionMine went better than I thought it would and go to my 2 week post op visit. I already am so glad to have band gone, and pain is almost gone. I'm doing good. I'm 5 days out and really no pain, just soreness, and tightness of the incision. I've gotten my meds figured out and liquids are going down pretty good with small sips. I'm able to get about 1/4 cup broth, about 4 oz of protein drink, and about 10 oz water in in a day ...all with small sips every 15 min. I tried Sf jello today and it went pretty good..but pretty much had to mush it up in my mouth before getting courage to swallow. Sf Popsicles were fine also. My 1st post op is on the 7th. Maybe advance then. How are you doing??

Thanks Username taken! I just assumed they tasted horrible. I'll try that!
