Everyone is different. The recommended time frame for food stages are just that, recommendations. My nut said if I try purée a bit before the 2 week period and it is easy on my stomach then I can continue on purée.
In the beginning I felt nauseous and couldn't figure out. I now either feel hungry or uncomfortable. Hard to find my happy medium.
I'm 3 months post op sleeve.

It's normal. Remember you're hardly eating anything...not much to get rid of. I take an aloe leaf capsule at night now and again and like clockwork the next day, success!

Well I did post it on a few threads to get some members in my lonely group...but I also tried to add a personal comment after it specific to the thread.
Sorry for any inconvenience.

I think this was the only one I didn't add something personal cause it was my first one

I've created a closed Facebook group called Bariatric Surgeries 2016 if anyone would like to join! I still have to schedule a date for my surgery, but I'd to receive/share pre-op, post-op, and any advice others have!
I am going through the exact same issue! My doctor recommended the bypass as I have acid reflux as if is. After reading so many comments, hearing people's advice, it'd been a bit stressful!
I'm having a second opinion tomorrow but so far I'm leaning towards the bypass.

That sounds rough going! I haven't had surgery as yet, planning on a gastric bypass, so I don't have any advice...but I have sympathy! I hope you hold down some fluids soon. Keep us posted!

I've had those Quest chips before but just couldn't do it. I was doing an ideal Protein diet and they had some soy puffs that were awesome!

I have been struggling with the whole 'but it might be the last time I get to eat it' excuse!

I'd like people to be able to join it without me having to invite them.

Lol, its such a private group no one will be able to find it! Ok, I'll have to try and figure out why that is...
Everything seems to be set up correctly. I'll ask some friends. I've checked the spelling so it doesn't seem to be that.

No worries. Closed groups do not show up on your page so no one should know, but if you don't feel comfortable even with that I understand.
Best of luck with your surgery! I'm coming out to London next month the week before my surgery so it should be 'fun' doing a liquid diet while traveling for work!

This doesn't really answer your question...but I've created a closed Facebook group called Bariatric Surgeries 2016. I'm looking for a small group to support each other. Join if you like!

Great, thanks! So I've had one to many "last meals" in preparation for surgery.. you know, it's the last time you're going to savor it, so it's allowed. I've gained 12 lbs!I think I have all the hoops jumped through that I know of. I have one more weight check with my PCP in March and then i think we can submit for insurance. I just had my LEEP on Wednesday of this week. I really, really need it to come back negative. If those margins are clear......you'll probably hear screaming from here! And what gives with a sudden 10pound gain? That sucked this morning.
How is your process going Elizabeth105?
But, today I got clearance from the endocrinologist. Talked to my surgeon's office, they're compiling everything and will submit to insurance. Then they'll call me once it's approved. Definitely starting to feel real! I'm taking the time to really practice all of the changes (no carbonated drinks, no straws, chewing to applesauce consistency, etc) Good luck, and I'll let you know when I have a date confirmed!

I too am looking at an April date. Mostly as I have to travel for work the first week in April so the second I get back I want to do it! I have to pay for it myself as my insurance does not cover (I live in the Cayman Islands).
I just want to get it done already!!!!
You all on Facebook? Maybe we can start a group for bypass in April/May?

I personally have decided to severely cut down my alcohol consumption because it causes me to eat. I drink a few drinks and then I don't care about what I eat. I drink too much and need grease the next day to get rid of my hangover. To me a couple of drinks isn't worth the calories.
That's just me.

Probably...they are called Nature's Way aloe latex and leaf extract. We don't have a Walmart where I live so I had to order from Amazon.< /p>
