I've entered the stall, but not fussed as I expected it....however if it lasts more than 2 weeks I'm sure I will be upset lol Doctor cleared me on Thursday for all foods, just told me to wait for bread. when is your surgery date? Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

The puree stage isnt too bad, definitely notice the change with clothes. The major thing I've noticed is that pre surgery I had severe knee pain and could barely walk, now I find it normal to walk and exercise such a good feeling Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

Hey kiwi, I'm going really well. I've lost 8 kgs since surgery and 13 since pre-op. I've been feeling really good and started exercising but am waiting for the stall lol. It seems like time drags but when you are a month out you can't believe how fast it's gone....I'm not sure how long you would need to take off work though. Sounds like you've had it a bit rough bluesky. I'm on day one of puree today and I am LOVING it! Lol. I had puréed meatballs ( lots of the sauce) and I think I could be happy eating that for the next 2 weeks hope things get better soon. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

I've felt nauseous once but I think it was because I drank too much at the one time.... Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

Welcome back slider, I made some pretty kick a** protein pops (even if I do say so myself) with coconut milk, choc protein powder and some peanut butter.....blitzed all together and frozen. It is one way to get the protein down lol Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

Congrats kiwi, You won't regret it. I think the hardest bit is the head drama of wanting food but knowing you can't because of fluids stage. I'm craving different flavours but still have 2 days to go before I hit puree stage. So glad to hear your date, now the optifast and wait.....good luck Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

    Feb 23 Sleevers!

Hi blue sky, I haven't been told to have Protein either. I'm just adding some in as a precaution....figure it couldn't hurt. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  17. Hi all, I'm new here but I was sleeved on the 22nd February. I had the band in for 6 years but struggled throughout the entire time. Then my dr suggested a revision, band came out in February 2015 and sleeve down in February 2016. I definitely understand the fear of failing, but I feel that we need to be positive and move forward knowing it's the best move for our health I had minimal pain after surgery which was amazing and I feel better everyday! My starting weight was 125 kgs op weight was 120.2 kgs, put exactly 5 kgs on after surgery due to fluids and swelling but weigh in day is Sunday so we will see how we go. Hey kiwi, things are going well. I get slightly uncomfortable in the evenings but that could be because I'm trying to walk around a little during the day. The barium test is also known a gastro swallow test, at The Alfred hospital I had to stand against an X-ray machine and they slide the X-ray plate close to your chest. They give you half a cup of drink that is clear and smells like licorice. It's a little thick like a syrup, they tell you to take a sip but do t swallow until they say and then they take the X-ray pics as you swallow.... You should be right with claustrophobia, it's just a struggle drinking something syrupy and sickly sweet Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

Good luck for Monday! I was on clear fluids (apple juice, broth) 48 hours after surgery, would have been a title sooner but I still has swelling. I only had to have two meals as clear fluids then went onto free fluids which are light yoghurts, custards, ice creams and soups like pumpkin. I only need to do free fluids for 2 weeks and then I go to puree food for another 2 weeks then it's normal food Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

Home now, 3 days post op. The barium swallow test was disgusting...honestly thought it wasn't going to stay down...simply because of flavour and texture. Can't believe how lucky I have been with having minimal pain since surgery. Tracking well and on free fluids for the next 2 weeks. Newbie here, getting sleeved today Hi everyone, today's the day.....nervous but excited! Starting weight is 119 kgs, previously had the band done by Dr Craig Taylor which was in for 5 years. Lost 25 kgs but then had all sorts of trouble where nothing stayed down. Band removed February 2015. Now I have Professor Nottle in Melbourne doing sleeve today...just found this site and wanted to thank you all for sharing Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
