  1. As of today I am two weeks post op. I got the okay on Tuesday to start on phase two (mushy/moist foods). So far I've been able to tolerate 3 4oz meals a day plus 1/2 2oz Snacks. The only problem is, I get crazy hiccups after I eat! Should I call my surgeon? Does this happen to anyone else? Does anyone have any tips or tricks to prevent them??
  2. Buy a few good books, and make a list of tv shows/ movies to watch! The first week can get very boring (especially because you'll most likely have 0 energy) if you don't have things to occupy yourself with.

@nervousnelly719 @ssflbelle I haven't felt truly hungry until today.. It's more of an empty stomach feeling. I've been very head hungry since about day 4!! I just bought new ice pops today, I'm about to eat a couple.

Keep in mind dehydration feels exactly like hunger. Are you getting enough fluids?

    Telling people

I've been pretty open about telling people. From my experience so far, when people comment on my weight loss, I just simple say thank you. If they pry, then I'll tell them about the surgery. Most overweight people tend to ask me questions about how I went about getting it done, and then most fit people are satisfied with that answer. Pre-op I was ashamed to tell people, the whole stigma around fat people is very scary. The thing is, people already know that we're overweight- it's no secret. If they judge you for being fat, shouldn't they be happy that you're now losing weight? But then again, we're doing this for ourselves, not for anyone else. There's no point in worrying about what other people think or suspect. All that matters at the end of the day is that YOU'RE getting healthy!
