Hi Shell, so who is your surgeon and which hospital are you going to. Im with Ray McHenry at Valley Private in Mulgrave. As for the diet Im sticking to it as far as allowed foods are concerned but have added an extra scoop of vegs too when I am hungry. The surprising thing is that I dont mind the optislim banana and caramel shakes and their chicken so. All I need now is a beer and a burger lol. Sent from my SM-G900I using the BariatricPal App -

Did anyone else struggle with the preop diet and have any laspes. I am finding it pretty hard although I am still about 90% on track for what they are asking. But I have added the odd half cup of vegs when i am hungry and also i have been having one cup of coffee with milk and sugar a night to help me thru my night shift. Good effort so you must be on pureed food by now and counting down until you can eat solids again. Any major changes that you have noticed. Sent from my SM-G900I using the BariatricPal App -

How is everyone traveling? Xena how is your recovery going, not too much pain I hope and how is your food management going. I start my 15 day lead in to surgery this Wednesday and so started including Protein shakes to cover about 75% of my calorie intake about 5 days ago to help me into it. Really wish it would hurry up so I can get it over with. Also how long before going back to work if you have to lift 10-20kg bags? Sent from my SM-G900I using the BariatricPal App -

Can I ask what your relationship with food is like now. I am due to be sleeved within the month and am a big foodie who is into bbq comps and making his own sushi and I am scared I will lose a big passion in my life. -

Hi Bella is it because everyone else who has had the sleeve is now too busy getting on with their lives. I hope so, one of my bigger concerns was that as this is still a relatively new procedure there isnt any long-term data on its effect on people. But in the good surgeons we trust. -

Xena, how is everything going, can you tell me about the barium test. Is it an xray? and if so is it the circular tube type xray and how long does it take. As i suffer from claustrophobia and am more afraid of this than the surgery I think.
