My surgery was with Dr. Merriman. -
My surgery is scheduled for March 18th. While I am excited to finally have this opportunity, I'm also nervous and scared. I have struggled with my weight all my life. Food has been a HUGE part of it. I kind of feel as though this is the end of a relationship. I'm also nervous about the excess skin issue and how I will look after I have lost all the weight. My husband and I are having a "farewell to food tour". He had me pick 5 of the top restaurants I wanted to eat at before my surgery. I have already done my 14 day liquid diet and will just have to be on another liquid diet 3 days before surgery.

I have done the 2 week liquid diet already. It was really tough for me. I think the hardest part was that I just missed chewing food. I did find that chewing sugar free gum helped with that though. I ended up losing 15 lbs during those 2 weeks, so I felt like it was all worth it in the end.
