Hey everyone. I’m 23 years old, 5'10 and currently at 207 (started at 318). I had my Surgery 02-14-08, so I’m not even a year out. My Doc wants me to stay between 195 to 199, so about 10lbs to go, to her standards. Yeah I don’t think that will be happening. I do have a large frame and most people say that this weight looks good. Blahhh, no my goal is 165-170. If I’m not happy, or do look unhealthy, like my Dr says, then I will gain a few back. (Though, I haven’t gained 1 lb back since my surgery!) For me it was mostly vanity, not even going to lie. :0 I was a yo-yo dieter before, and knew what I looked like thin, and sure as hell didn’t like being fat! I’m allergic to ALL fruits and vegetables so unless it was Atkins, there wasn’t a diet I could “do.” As we all know, Atkins is (just) a little (sarcastic) hard to stick to, and the weight plus would always come back on. I never had any health problems, though I’m sure that they would have came with age. -Courtney

I was banded on 2/14/08 I have had killer headaches ever since. Its almost EVERY day! Has any one else ever had this problem. It has been so bad that “normal” headache med’s r not kickin it I have to use my friends Tylenol migraine Doc prescribed medicine!! In the past headaches are an occasional thing… this is starting to really bug me! Help!! Thanks!!

I live in Topeka. I was banded on 02/14/08 in Mexico, because of the horror stories I have heard about Tallgrass. I orig. went to them and was sched. to have my surgery this month, but my best friends mom is a nurse there and told me to stay away!! I am also self pay and didnt want to risk anything going wrong! Ah I’m so frustrated I just called Dr. Malleys office in Mission KS (Kansas City) and I was told that I couldn’t get in for my first fill until JUNE!!! I will DIE if I wait that long. I can already feel that my swelling from my surgery is dying down, and I will soon begin my “Bandster’s Hell!” I was banded on 02/14/08! Any suggestions out there on other KC doc’s… I was set on Dr. Malley! (Fyi I was banded in Mexico)

I have detailed pix from the hotel in el paso to the beautiful hospital n staff - pm me if u want me to give u the link! by far one of the best decisions I have ever made was going with dr rod!

I have a lot of things pierced also :thumbup: The only one I had to take out was my tongue ring due to the tube being down my throat. Left my nose, marylin, n others in ... thats not what everyone else is saying but thats my experience!

I was banded on 2/14 and on the morning of the15th I sneezed! A FULL OUT sneeze.... I yelled (a lil over exaturated) n about 4 nurses came running! That afternoon I had other patients asking what happened. It was a lil embarassing to say it was just a sneeze! The pains still there with a sneeze/cough but its much better!

Hey everyone I was banded on Feb 14 by Dr. Rod in Juarez MX! I am down 22 lbs! I didnt do the pre-op diet, so this is all since the band. I started walking on the 20th and everythings going GREAT!! Thanks for all the support! -Courtney
