    Hungry all the time!

No, I know I'm not supposed to drink while I eat, but every now and then I take a sip if I'm parched. I don't full on drink. But I forget to stop drinking 30 minutes before I eat. I've got myself on a schedule today to see if it helps. Sent from my SM-N920V using the BariatricPal App

    Hungry all the time!

I do take a few sips when I eat, but I don't full on drink. I think I eat too quickly, though. I forget to slow down, which I think, leaves a lot of air in my pouch, so I'm not eating as much as I actually could. I don't know, maybe it is head hunger. This whole thing is a learning experience. I'm going to put myself on a schedule for meals and Snacks and see if that helps. Sent from my SM-N920V using the BariatricPal App
  3. I'm almost 8 weeks post op (I had RNY). Now that my appetite is back, I feel hungry all the time! I'll eat, but an hour later, I'm hungry again! I try not to allow myself too get full, but just satisfied, but a hour later I need to eat or I feel that gross emptiness in my pouch. Has anyone else experienced this? It's so weird to me. 6. I Had RNY on 2/11. I'm almost six weeks post-op and lost 41 lbs in the first four weeks. However, I haven't lost anything in almost two weeks now. I just started eating solid foods, but have been really careful about what I'm eating. I've been avoiding carbs, no sugar and getting mostly all of my Protein and fluids, daily. I knew that a stall would happen, but did not anticipate it happening so soon. I haven't been exercising much, because of my schedule, but I've made sure to stay as active as possible, until I can get a regimen. But I don't think that would be a major factor so early in. I told myself I wasn't going to freak out and I was prepared for this, but it's been almost two weeks and the scale hasn't moved. Has anyone else experienced this so early and what did you do? Should I just be patient and trust through process or should I change something? Sent from my SM-N920V using the BariatricPal App

    Just finished surgery yesterday

Congratulations! ! I'm 5 weeks out today, myself. I honestly never has any pain, just severe gas discomfort, which took about 4 weeks to go away. I still have discomfort but nothing like in the first few weeks. It definitely only gets better. I struggled with eating mushy foods and liquids. I got burned out really quickly. I'm excited because I can finally start eating solids today! My advice, is follow the program. Do what your surgeon says and it will go smoothly. Make sure you get up and move as much as possible, but listen to your body. Don't over do it. Sent from my SM-N920V using the BariatricPal App

    Can you eat chocolate?

I've always been a chocolate lover, but I can tell you, as I'm in the pureed foods stage, you're going to hate chocolate after a while! Pretty much all you can "eat" during this phase is fake chocolate crap. I'm so sick of dessert like foods being my only source of nutrition, I'm never going to want chocolate again! I can hardly wait until I can eat actual meat and savory foods! Don't worry, you'll get burned out on chocolate soon enough. Or maybe not! Sent from my SM-N920V using the BariatricPal App

    10 days post op

I'm 7 days out and struggling with getting enough fluids. It's been so hard drinking Protein Shakes, my stomach had been really uneasy. How much liquids were you getting during phase 1? Sent from my SM-N920V using BariatricPal

    It's finally done

I had my surgery 1 week ago and I woke up in excruciating pain, too. But it was more gas like pain. I never had soreness from the actual surgery. It was the worst pain, too. It took the whole week, but I think it's mostly all gone. Hang in there. Sent from my SM-N920V using BariatricPal

    No "Steve Harvey" this time..

Once I had approval, it went really quickly. I was approved on Feb 3rd and had surgery on the 11th. Just enough time to start the pre surgery diet. Sent from my SM-N920V using BariatricPal

    No "Steve Harvey" this time..

Hi there. I went through the same thing. But once it was officially approved, I was scheduled and I'm now 4 days post op! I'm so glad to be on the other side of the whole thing. I can tell you, it is challenging, but I'm so excited for every new day that I'm recovering. I'm already down 10 pounds since surgery on the 11th and that's including all the fluids they pump you with. So, good luck! You're almost on the other side! Sent from my SM-N920V using BariatricPal

    Pain post op

Hi there! I'm four days post op and I didn't have any pain other than severe gas pains from all the fluids they pumped in me. Yesterday, I felt great, but today the discomfort has returned. I've been taking milk of magnesia to help with the gas/constipation, but it is slow moving. I've also been experiencing minor leg and buttock cramps from lack of electrolytes. But nothing too serious. I was told to try sugar free Gatorade but can't find any to save my life! Are you experiencing the same thing? Sent from my SM-N920V using BariatricPal
