  1. Breakfast I have Protein Shake when I first wake up, the half hour later eggs or a Protein Bar, lunch I'll eat shrimp or tuna and veggies, supper I usually grill something and veggies.... And depending on if I hit my Protein I will have another shake or bar. Exercise... Yesterday for example i. Rowed, did kettlebells, elliptical for 30 minutes, did 5 miles on my bicycle, and a t25 cardio video. I've done 30 miles on my bicycle before in one day.... Rollerblading, free weights, bow flex.

  2. Hi all, I'm almost 4 months post op from my sleeve. My SW was 210, and I am down to 175 currently and am 5 4. I keep fluctuating 172-177. I am in a huge stall. :'( My goal is 135.... And I am really getting discouraged. I work out, eat well, and get my fluids in.... And no matter what I do, the scale keeps giving me the finger. I need some ideas of what to do bc I haven't moved the scale in a month and a half!!! I've tried eating carbs, going periods of time not working out... NOTHING is working. I even tried a detox cleanse! I'm at a total loss of what to do. To put the icing on the cake, I will have lost 100# total from my highest at 169.... So I'm even more furious about not moving the scale. Please help this desperate chick! Any ideas or suggestions are welcome! Thank you all in advance and I hope you are all kickin ass and taking names in your journeys.

  3. @@elo402 - I am excite too! My medical clearance will be signed off tomorrow after my chest x-ray . . No pre op diet here though my MD said there is no research proving it is actually helpful which seems to be the consensus by researchers/doctors on pubmed too. To each his own when it comes to what the programs preach it seems but I am glad I do not have to do it! . . Do you have anyone going with you to the surgery?

    coco

Yes my husband is going to go with me day of surgery. He's a nervous wreck but im ready to get the show on the road!! I was terrified but I'm past that now thank god, now I'm most worried about hair loss bc I have short hair as it is and its pink/purple/green/blue, lol. I haven't had "normal" hair in years and I'm worried about going bald lol

  4. Kristen I just read your entire thread and wow you go girl! This has helped me so much, I just got my surgery date of March 29th and also have pcos. My HW was 270+, CW 201 and GW 130. I'm only 5 3, so I rocked the oompaloompa look for quite some time. You have most definitely subsided the last shred of fear I had for going after my sleeve, and to be completely honest if our paths ever crossed I would have placed you in the lucky skinny club! Lol I am definitely going to continue lurking your progress and am ready to join you! You should never be ashamed, loose skin or not! You are gorgeous inside AND out and have been more inspirational to us beginners than you will ever know, and for that I thank you greatly!

  5. I know that everyone loses weight differently, but I'm curious to see what ppl's weight loss was one month post op, with weight day of surgery around 200?i would LOVE to get quite a few responses just so I can not feel alone if I happen to fall at the lower loss of poundage one month into my journey. Thanks to all that continue to give feedback and advice for us newbies that do not have a great support system @ home!! :)

  6. That's awesome you didn't lose any hair! I have educated myself for over a year now on the surgery, and hearing others advice and success helps cam me down.... Especially since I now have a surgery date. I do currently work out hardcore, at least 4 times a week, and have been very good with my diet as well. I know I'm still in shock that I have even got approved, but a lot of fears are surfacing now.

  7. I was 200 pounds at time of surgery (5'6" and 33 BMI). I also had PCOS but had both my ovaries removed. I lost almost 60 pounds in 7 months, but I never lost my hair because I only averaged losing 10 pounds per month and I ALWAYS got in at least 65 grams of Protein per day. I drank a lot of my Protein by sipping protein lemonade and fruit punches. I also use liquid Vitamins containing Biotin.

I have absolutely no regrets for having the sleeve done. I'm almost 8 months out now and can eat almost everything, just really small amounts. I have to be really careful with sweets, because they don't fill me up at all. I'm a big believer that if I restrict myself too much, I won't be able to maintain a healthy attitude and will sugar binge.

The best part of being a low BMI starter is we can start exercising full throttle right away.

    Good luck!
