  1. Good luck to you. Remember to walk as soon as you can . You will do great
  2. I agree. I would never leave him because of male attention because I been with him big n small to big again so that's just his insecurities. My son went with me and he was very supportive and he stayed by my side the whole time . So I'm happy for that .
  3. So happy for you DeeDee..... I am post op day 3 and I still have some gas pains... it's getting better . I have minimal pain. I'm there with you about liquids . My doc told me don't push it just try sipping every 15 min so that's what I have been doing... yayyy we are in the losers bench????. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App Thanks @@QueenBx! I was very nervous , but everyone was very professional and kind to me at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital. My doctor (Charles Procter, Jr) has an excellent bedside manner and is a second generation gastric surgeon. I think he did a great job. I had umbilical hernia repair and robotic gastric sleeve. Not much pain or nausea, though I was medicated for both in the hospital. My throat was sore from intubation during the procedure, but I got him to prescribe a spray that helped a lot. I was released the next morning after I ate clear liquid breakfast with no problems. My stomach actually feels tighter today (post-op day 2), but its beatable. I do have some gas but walking definitely helps with that. The jury is still out on gerd issues. Now that im home if I could just get these fluids in... but overall everything is going well. Thanks for the prayers! Sent from my 5054N using the BariatricPal App

Vomiting gas bubles few time a day, had 0 appetite and also had days where i just did not want to leave the bed all day, sad for no apparent reason. 15. I hope so . Today I fell better, I have six lap sites and they are quite small. Still walking to remove gas . But I feel better than yesterday. Thank you for keeping me in your thoughts. Glad all went well. And, it probably won't take 6 mths to say that, probably 6 days! It really does get better every day of the healing phase.
  16. I didn't do ice Water but the ice felt good going down to me . My nurse kept bringing them in so I would stay hydrated. I can't wait until post op day 5 or 6 . So this gas will go away.
  17. Hi QueenBX.... they did give me gas x plus I brought my own. It helped some but walking and breathing exercises are the best. I fell asleep today due to nausea med. plain Water make me gag so nurse said do flaored water pack and I have been doing so . I will def parlay for you and I'm sure you will do great. I have 6 lap sites that are really small . I'm just sore but this too shall pass.
  18. Hi everyone... I'm still alive, lol. I had my sleeve done yesterday. It was a rough day 1 with the gas pain and nausea. However , today I feell a lot better.... still have some gas pain but I'm burping a lot now. . I am telling myself this is temporary and in 6 months I'm sure I will say this was a great decision.
  19. Okay good people... had surgery yesterday on Dec 5. I am still in shock that I did it. Yesterday was rough I won't lie. The gas pain was awful . I walked and walked and walked. I I feel better today. I have been trying to drink water but it makes me gag. So since I couldn't do that the nurse gave me ice chips and you would have thought she have me a steak, lol. Walking and coughing and using that ispirometer is uncomfortable but so necessary. Today I am burping like crazy , guess gas is coming out too end. I am still sore in my belly area. Trying to get protein in and water. Keep me in your prayers. I am doing much better than yesterday.
  20. Hi bariatric fan... surgery was done yesterday. The gas pain was awful yesterday and kept me nauseated. I was feeling really bad. But I walked and used my incentive spirometer for breathing exercise and I feel a lot better today. I thank you all for your prayers and support during this time. I desperately needed both.
