  1. Get it girl... you are doing great. Congrats n keep up good work ????
  2. You are doing great. I started pre op weight at 242 lbs. ... surgery day weight was 219 lbs.. weight now is 191 lbs. so , 6 weeks with 26 lb weightloss but 51 lbs overall. I eat tuna, grilled chicken breast, squash, carrots, Protein shakes, boiled eggs, refried Beans, Greek yogurt and sugar free Jello. Spoke with nutritionist today and she said I am making great food choices and to give my body time to adjust and then lose. My doc said I am tracking on point as well today. I only have 40 lbs to go until I'm at goal but he said I may lose more due to he doesn't expect me to stop until June that is when I may plateau. My BMI is 30 now and it was 39.4 to start. So I thank God for blessing me with this opportunity. I'm staying optimistic and gonna keep on my elliptical until I get to where I want to be.
  3. No prob.. I understand. This is a very frustrating process.

  5. @ eclecticavatar...Thank you for the compliment. But I don't really feel I'm crushing it. I get discouraged because some are losing way faster than me but my inches are flying off. I just try to get in 60 G Protein daily n my Water as well as Greek yogurt, re fried Beans , asparagus, grilled chicken. I can't eat a lot because my sleeve is picky but I do my best . I am now down 26 lbs and it's almost 6 weeks. If I had not had the surgery, there's no way the weight would be gone. Celebrate other victories beside just the scale. If you saw me in person , I don't look 191 so I take pride in the inches that are falling off. So I don't get bummed anymore when I see some people who have lost 45 lbs or some huge number that had surgery around the same date as myself.... why, because I tell myself I look good and some people lose it and you can't see it but mine is super noticeable so I take pride in that and so should you. 15 lbs gone is great ... I should have taken measurements but I didn't but I do advise you to measure yourself so that you can track inches lost. I measure mine by my clothes that I was busting out of and they are now falling off and the waist is huge on me. So that's how I know. Stay strong . We are gonna rock this thing. Just takes a lil time.

    Surgery is TODAY!

Sending prayers your way for a speedy recovery and for God to guide the surgeons hand. When you are awake, walk and then walk some more. It will help so much.

  10. Sleeved on 12/5/16 Pre op weight ( as of July 13 ,2016) 242 lbs Surgery day weight - 219 lbs Current weight - 191 lbs Don't get me wrong.... so happy to be 51 lbs down total. But it has slowed down but I am staying committed. I have increased physical activity and I'm now cleared to do core exercises and in another week all exercises. So I'm gonna work just get a little ugh ???? when scale doesn't move. However, I am noticing inches disappearing on me . So it's a catch 22 but I want the scale to move, lol.

  17. Please don't slam me for this question, but at 5 weeks post op, can we eat pork skins? It's meat, 0 carbs and it gets soft, eventually? I'm just wondering ... when I did low carb years ago , I kept me some pork skins. But just wondering if it's ok now.
  18. I decided against it once @@jenn1 posted the nutrition information. I decided against it now , so I'm good. I'm very disciplined with my sleeve that's why I was trying to incorporate a snack that I thought was low carb with good protein content. I have no desire for junk food or I would have asked could I eat little Debbie snacks. I have gone through a lot to get this sleeve and I'm not that one to sabotage my efforts to become healthy and reach my goal because of a piece of pure sugar. I'm trying to see my goal by the end of March. Only 41 lbs to go. So I'm focused . I just ask questions on here to get advice from the vets due to they have been around the block once or twice. Where can one purchase them?
  19. Okay thanks. I've purchased turkey jerky. I decided against pork rinds. I will try that later in my sleeved life. Okay thanks. I've purchased turkey jerky. I decided against pork rinds. 20. Amen... I agree. This is a very hard process and I respect all of those that describe the struggle for newbies like myself. It helps me to get through a rough spot when I know someone else here has gone through something similar.
  21. OMG I WILL STAY AWAY, that makes me nervous. Thank you all for chiming in. I think I'm going to get me some good ole turkey jerky and see how my girl ( my sleeve) likes that.
