Dknal2 replied to OhHeyMarina's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yes lord... I had surgery 12/5/16 and I have had several stalls... none of the complications you had but I still had stalls so you are not alone. -

I did that years ago and it worked for weigh in but darn insurance company denied me at the time due to I didn't have proof of years of being over 40 bmi, lol. So five years later I had surgery in states n didn't need ankle weights lol. oh no, i meant ankle weights for the weigh in... rather than actually gain the weight

Six weeks and weight loss has slowed down
Dknal2 replied to mzgapch's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm 8 weeks out and god knows I have stalls from hell.. I have lost 33 lbs since surgery and my surgery weight was 219 lbs.. my doc told me my weight would come off slower due to my BMI was lower... so it's just a journey ... but my inches are flying off. So just keep doing what you are supposed to do and focus on sticking to your plan, it will come off still. Measure your inches so that when the scale stalls you will still have means of being motivated by inches that have come off ... ???? -

I feel the exact same and I am 8 weeks out... it was like reading about myself... I can't tolerate much of anything still... I am real good with tuna though... grilled chicken breast goes down easy and retried beans, hummus, boiled eggs, and Greek yogurt. My nutritionist said that o am doing fine and my doc said I may just be one of those patients that take a little extra time to get reacquainted with certain foods due to every time I try something new I get sick. So, thus far I have lost 33 lbs since surgery ... 56 lbs total since pre op diet .... I started out at 242 pre op and surgery I was 219 lbs. my body is changing and I am so grateful just moving forward and waiting for 6 month mark to see where I am. Good luck to us all . We are on the losers bench n kicking butt.. yaayyy!!!!!! -
Congrats on your Quest to onederland .. I was sleeved on 12/5 and since surgery I have lost 32 lbs but since preop I have lost 55. I am now 187 lbs and started at 242 lbs. goal is 150lbs. I am happy for you because it feels great. Get a full body massage as a treat. You deserve it????

I am so pleased to say that Jan 5 marked my one month surgiversary and I am down 24 lbs from my surgery day weight of 219 lbs ( currently 195 lbs). But the real kicker is my starting weight pre op was 242 lbs so total lost is 47 lbs , yessss. Also, my birthday was Jan 5 as well and I am a beautiful 39 years young may I add. So excited and looking forward to more success in near future. My goal is 150 lbs. motivation is on point to reach it.

@10stackzz... Hi, how have you been? Thank you so much. I have not been in onederland in so long. I can't wait to get to goal. But my tata's are gonna need some work they are leaving home base, lol. Heyyy....Glad to see your dropping those pounds...Congrats, your in the 100's...Keep up the great work! Sent from my SM-G935T using the BariatricPal App -
I can totally relate to this post. I am 8 weeks out and I have lost 32 lbs. but itotal since I started my journey I have lost 55 lbs. so it looks like I have lost a whole lot of weight. I started out in a tight size 16 now my size 12 are falling off of me so I assume I am a size 10. I refuse to buy any more clothing because my body has changed so much. I go in stores and window shop and find myself looking at a size 16 even though that would swallow me. But in my mind , looking at a size 10 is not the correct size to look for. I used to get discouraged when I would come on here and see that people have lost 90 lbs in 2 months ( I'm being sarcastic) but now I don't sweat it. I know that my BMI was lower coming in so my weight is gonna come off a little slower. But I'm good with only 37 lbs to go until I reach goal. So staying focused and pushing forward .

Thank you so much. I have 39 lbs to go now until I reach goal and it seems that it's gonna come of super slow. But my waist, thighs, hips , and my butt are all significantly smaller. I will keep pushing until I reach goal. I will not give up. This is a lifestyle change and I am in it to win it. -
Aww.. so inspirational.. you look great. I have 39 lbs until I reach goal n I just really feel like I'm not gonna get there... lot of foods are making me sick so I'm limited on what I can eat but I'm exercising n the inches are coming off just no so much with the lbs. but looking at you, I am very motivated to keep pushing.

It's a life changer - progress pics 2.5 months out
Dknal2 replied to lore's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
@ lore... you look beautiful... very motivational. Keep it up girl you will hit that 135 sooner than you think . My HW was 242 and SW 219 and right now I am 189 lbs. had surgery on Dec 5. It's amazing how much the body changes. My goal is 145 or 150. My doc says I may go lower than that but I don't want to . I'm 5'6 and I don't wanna be too thin but he says that I probly won't plateau until June or July and weight loss will slow up a lot more. But I see some people here that lose like their whole first year. But anywho congrats n keep up the good work???? -

That's y I had to cut it out. That's funny bcuz I've Been craving cheese a lot idk what's up with that but at the same time I don't want other problems like not being able to go to the restroom lol Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using the BariatricPal App -
Acceptance is the first step. When I saw myself in a pic I was like ONG , why didn't anyone tell me I was that big? I thought I was sexy , lol ????. But , I knew my size I just felt it was ok but when the health issues started, I had my epiphany. You are not alone. But I'm glad you are willing to take the steps to make a change in your life.

Dknal2 replied to OhHeyMarina's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm 6 weeks out and it gets tricky after one month but keep pushing. The body is playing catch up as far as lbs dropping but the inches are still making their mark. Stay active and follow your plan is the advice I keep getting when I get discouraged and so far it's been great advice . My doc says I'm on track with 27 lbs lost in 6 weeks but total of 51 since pre op and he says body can't distinguish difference it just knows it's lost 51 lbs so it has to play catch up with itself . So , I'm being patient n obedient n doing what I should. You look great... your face has definitely changed and everything else will follow suit in due time. ???? good luck.
